Zarithan Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 If you want to enjoy online bb , go player match since the quality of play is much better than in ranked ( + there are rooms so its much easier for you to find some group of people who wanna team up and practice with you ) Save your replays as much as u can even if u LOSE ( ESPECIALLY if you lose tbh ) that way u can analyze your mistakes and give your best to improve yourself And learn to stop playing when u hit the losing streak , just relax a bit , do something else , its better than raging ( and since your concentration will be at the bottom you will just keep getting pissed off and won't achieve anything )

Every time I try to get into player rooms, I can hear groans on the mikes just because I'm a level 85 Nu. I've been terrible lately and hating myself for it because my moves can actually come out offline. But online? Nope. Plus I have trouble with certain matchups lately, ones I shouldn't have trouble with. I barely had trouble with Bangs and Litchis and now I do. It makes me feel like a goddamn loser. And then I have people trying to literally counterpick on me and doing random distortions.
Drill Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Online is only for desperate people, who, like me, have literary no one to play against offline. And if you want to be good at BB it sux major balls. Learn not to take it seriously or not to play it at all. And trust me, 80% of rage induced by losing streak is solely the fault of online mode. When I played against people ofline in GG I could have as much as loosing streak of 50 matches and never lost motivation to play, while online in BB I get angry after 5 loosees or so. This without the GG. That's me. I have NOBODY in town who really ends up giving a crap about this game... So I'm stuck with online. And I do notice the rage only happens in Ranked. When online with a pal, win or lose I won't get as mad. As for Player matches, I only hate those when you get the one guy who whoops everyone easy and there's a huge wait for your next turn. I don't mind sitting out a match or two... but sitting out four gets a little... boring.

I don't care if I win or lose, I tend to have fun. But with ranked? Some people try to find the easiest shortcut just to beat someone. It's not about skill. Because I'm a female, I get trolled on. Today was when I had it up to my fucking neck with ranked.
NasaXnieru Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Playing online is like playing competitive Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's a joke.
Zarithan Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I've been terrible lately and hating myself for it because my moves can actually come out offline. But online? Nope. ^ This Sometimes online moves can be real pain in the ass Some moves that aren't possible in offline are so easy to pull and even though they are quite predictable no matter what you try they will still land on you This without the GG. That's me. I have NOBODY in town who really ends up giving a crap about this game... So I'm stuck with online. And I do notice the rage only happens in Ranked. For 8 months I was the ONLY person in my country ( and even in neighbor countries ) who had BBCT , so online was ( and still is most of the time ) the only way for me to play BB
Drill Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 I think the solution to the whole nobody to play with problem will be me ACTUALLY trying to be ACTIVE on DL. From there we can just play together in Player Rooms to improve... Hmmm.
Chris Chaos Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 OK, here's my opinion on the subject. Everyone has the motive to win, no matter what, we're all human so in ranked matches, everyone's going to go for the easiest way to win, no doubt about that it's a fact we must get used to. The way I deal with a losing streak (offline or online) is that I take a break, especially if you've been playing for over an hour. You may not notice it but sitting/standing while staring at a TV screen/playing a video game in the same spot will suprisingly, wear away at your mind. Don't try to leave on a win especially if you are on a losing streak; You will not get it as soon as you think and if you continue to lose (Whis is most likely the case), you will RAGE, this is the truth. Stop playing on a loss and chill, sleep in for a bit or just grab something to drink/eat and turn off your tv and system. Drink water, or even a fruit juice to ease yourself, not alcohol (this should be common sence, but I know some who will do it...), you will just rage even more. If you're just losing because you "feel" that your skills are lacking, save your replays and watch how it all went down, a painful experience but it must be done. Watch your moves and watch what your opponent does, see where you fouled up and where they took advantage, also view and see where the holes in your offence/defence are. When you find out all of this, hit up practice mode later and do your best to close these holes in your game. I don't know. 1) As a LV 85 Nu, you should expect the moans and groans because of the character you play, she receives a shit-ton of hate because of how safe she is. Granted, there are ways to get to her but some people aren't skilled enough to deal with her or just don't wanna work too hard for a win nowadays. 2) It's online, lag exists even if you don't notice it, so as you perform your move as if you're playing offline, some moves will be left out because of minor un-noticable spikes within the net. There is NOTHING, you can do about this except adjust your game (and at times, this doesn't work because it's LOL online), or just don't play online. Besides, you shouldn't get upset that your online game isn't on par with your offline game, this will ALWAYS be the case (ex. IBing... who can efficiently do this online, all the times they want to? Answer: No one.) 3) Cookie... Why are you pissed off about this? These are probably Nu's WORST match-up's! Bang-Nu is like 7-3 in Bang's favor, and if Litchi gets in on Nu, LIGHTS OUT, FORGET ABOUT IT, GAME OVER! So of course you're going to have to work harder to win these fights. Earlier when the game first came out, of course no one was going to beat Nu with these characters because their learning curves are steeper than most other characters in the game (Remember when almost NO ONE was playing these characters? Later on, people saw potential and now, they're everywhere). So now when people finally understand the character and how the match-ups work, fighing Bang's and Litchi's are going to be a hellova lot more difficult than ever. Another note, no one should feel like a "goddamn loser" after such fights. People win some and lose some, but you gotta shrugg it off your shoulders and move on. Overall, it's just a game, it's not real life. It's not like "If I lose, I die in real life" LOL! So don't take it to heart. Relax, take breaks, and chill. This is the best advice I can give you from my experience, hell it worked for me when I was actively online.
mAc Chaos Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 3) Cookie... Why are you pissed off about this? These are probably Nu's WORST match-up's! Wait, I hope you're talking about CS. Because otherwise my brain just exploded.
Chris Chaos Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Nah, it's just as I stated. Bang has a lot of effective tools he can use against Nu. Proper Guard Points, keeping the pressure with Nails and if Bang gets in on Nu, it's just a pain in the ass for her to get him out of there. Yes it is like this in CT, but it's worse in CS. It is hella easy for Bang to punish off of guard pointing Nu's swords (Well, I don't have a problem doing this and neither do other Bangs I play with), The match takes patience and reading the opponents moves and if you're able to to that, Nu is cake. It's all about match up experience. Granted, others may disagree but this is from what I've seen.
TeeJay Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I feel like Ron Artest using Litchi now. (CS is gonna make me feel guilty). Though I'm average at best.

TeeJay Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 LMFAO! Greatest analogy ever! This is gettin' sig'd! lolol haha. I didn't think anyone would catch it. (us gamers lol:psyduck:).
Chris Chaos Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 lolol haha. I didn't think anyone would catch it. (us gamers lol:psyduck:). Oh man it was pretty obvious, maybe because I keep up with Basketball. But yeah, good shyt. But let me stop here, I'm getting off-track of the thread, LOL.

Every time I feel I'm getting better against them, something screws me over. Bang's tools are annoying, very annoying. I always feel he's swarming me before I can distance myself and breath. The same with Litchi. Plus, I barely played these matches. It's always Ragna, Jin, Tager, Hakumen, Arakune, or another Nu (I hate Nu vs Nu so goddamn much, only because I feel like a mannequin when I try to play). Taokakas are rare, Carls are rare, Bangs are rare and Litchis as well. But when I did fight Bangs, I actually won. Now, I'm sucking ass.
Overheat Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I'll play with you in Player Match cookie :D Perhaps for you, it's match-up experience? But it's hard to learn the match-ups when you rarely fight them. Play Vice-Taicho / DJHUOSHEN, and Grim_Thanatos. If you want Nu mirror match help, I wouldn't mind helping you. And yeah, Litchi-Nu is around 50-50, but Litchi's corner game is very deadly (Vice-Taicho!). Bang-Nu is 50-50 at best. Any Bang who uses nails to get in will have an easy time breaking down Nu's. Even Raiza thinks Bang-Nu is in Bang's favour.
Marionette Pwii Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 ummmm is it ok if the person you're fighting on ranked knows they're losing so they decided to run away and be gay and beat you just because?
Overheat Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 They were losing, so they started to zone you to death? Or they ragequit and fought you in Player Match?
Marionette Pwii Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 ok like this, I'm Carl,Carl is bleh,I'm winning, that guy is using Arakune. He decides to not try fighting because he's losing so he starts being gay as in camp while the bugs just bite off every last bit of hp I have and to stall time.kind of like this

Dx

Happened twice. I fought Housen to get some experience but *sigh*. There's something about Litchi that makes me want to pull hair out. ok like this, I'm Carl,Carl is bleh,I'm winning, that guy is using Arakune. He decides to not try fighting because he's losing so he starts being gay as in camp while the bugs just bite off every last bit of hp I have and to stall time.kind of like this Ah, yes. I've fought plenty of Arakunes like that.

If I managed to squeeze 1 of 9 against Vice then you can do better. Yes, I'm that bad. It's a little easier if your patient and block him. Just don't get stuck in a combo. I can't really think of anything brilliant.
Chris Chaos Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Vice is a good Litchi, hell I have back-to-back fights with Vice all the time. Fun Litchi and you'll definetly learn the match up fighting 'em (This is probably because I main Jin and Vice admits to having problems with Jin). "I don't know Nu" but I'm sure if you can start off the match zoning Litchi, and can keep a good distance against her, you should be fine. But this is just from viewers experience, I don't Main Nu but maybe Overheat can give you some better tips, but as stated before, if you find yourself raging, at the end of the match, stop playing, and rest.
SSMugen Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Bang vs Nu is prob 5-5 at the most idk where the hell this info is coming from >.>
Overheat Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Vice is my lagless alternative to DJHUOSHEN. Perhaps DJHUOSHEN can be your lagless alternative to Vice. I have some replays of me fighting him, so I'll review them and PM you a message later, cookie. It's important to know your limits, so if you're getting frustrated, just play around with Nu in training. I remember when I thought I was crazy good because I could do 12 TK feints in a row. I can do around triple that now. Because of input lag, your execution has to be very good online. If you want some training, I wouldn't mind setting up a Player room, although there will be some lag. Bang vs Nu is prob 5-5 at the most idk where the hell this info is coming from >.> Perhaps it's just me then. I don't like fighting Bangs.
