I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but at the main welcome page with the dustloop/sidewinder sign image, the title bar still says slash. It's not a big deal, but with Accent Core already out on consoles and a US release on the horizon it seems about time to fix that. But whatever, trivial details, blah blah blah.

Because I know we have a 'post yours' thread already.

And B_Ko's 'how to make' too.

PS. also, there was a "where to buy a custom stick" thread i moved to General Discussion.

Knock yourself out.

Are you talking about 'how to make', 'where to buy' or 'post yours'? Because I know we have a 'post yours' thread already.

Kinda like a general one (where to buy, difference in parts, blah blah) and at least links to the other useful threads.

I just see too many of them :E

Make it so I can hard delete multiple threads at the same time without the site exploding.

Thanks.

ur a noob, mash harder.

i really think we need the classic "old site" back up and make it the main page of dustloop.com

For those who don't know about the classic old site, it was the GGXX website with character move lists, frame data, combos, and the best ever written general strategies guide which explained, FD, teching, IB, gatling combos, bursts, clashing and the like.

does anyone know which site im talking about? And what do you guys think?

Kayin, that'll be helpful (using arrows instead of numerical notation) for those of us (newbs) who do not want to use numerical notation. Arrows > Numbers when making the transition from Capcom fighters to GG.

Uh just to randomly post this since i posted it on srk and it was a good idea:

This might be hard to implement but how about a (code)(/code) like bracket that turns every number and letter into it's corresponding image.

like (in)632146P(/in) would display potemkin buster in images.

i found it horrifically difficult to do long commands as emotes making them pretty pointless.

Come'on, whats 10 more pixals?

arrowbig.gifbigbutton.gif

Anyways second best thing is make each command emotes like :2: :3: :6: :HS: to make it easy to work with. Sadly I don't think we'd be able to use Henaki's idea (though great!) without an experienced PHP wizard.

15x15 is big enough. That'd be tight if there was some way to implement Henaki's idea... I think it'd benefit the newbs and even some vets (quick visual glance at arrows and buttons = quicker recognition).

to make it easier im sure you could make the emotes ~3 and ~P or something, i don't think tidles are used for anything useful. I think emotes can be done with out the colons but I'm unsure.

edit: and i way way prefer the 15 pixel versions, they fit much better into paragraphs.

hrmm trying it out it needs work on the arrangement of the arrows in the smilies menu

maybe arrange it like this:

b - db

d - df

f - uf

u - ub

p - k

s - hs

d - n

also lol on the fact you can't post more than 10 smiles. no posting move lists or huge combos with this system :v:

Yo guys, I've incorporated these new arrows into my Dizzy Strategy Guide.

However, for some reason it doesn't seem to flow as well as I imagined it would. Do you guys think this kind of j.:p: , c.:s: format is easy on the eyes, or do you think the old numpad notation seems more clear?

EDIT: OH and also, I think a blue K and a green S makes more sense

the numpad notation're fine, but that new arrow notation and colored buttons u use on Dizzy forum're very nice and eyecatching IMO :D (it's real pain in the ass for me to read 632146/64632146 the OD shorts should work on this) ... but the limitation of smilies (;^_^)>

Is there any way we can move the Guilty Center below the Gameplay Laboratory? I think when noobs join, they enter the Guilty Room simply because it's the first forum avaialbe, then they can't find their answer in there, and then the post a "please help me i'm a noob, i don't know what anything means" thread and we have to post a link to the Foundation. In short, people are stupid.

If the Gameplay Lab (and more specifically, the Foundation) was first, then the noobs would enter that forum, and hopefully see the GAMEPLAY FAQ and answer their questions without creating a "HOW DO I SHOT WEB" topic.
