There's another guy I play casuals with, but we don't set up a specific date and time to play. Supposedly, there are more players, but we haven't been motivated enough to get them all together.

though i wouldnt think beating carl with haku is especially hard considering your parries devalue his pressure's solidity and your range gives him trouble. harder time getting you sandwiched, harder time keeping you sandwiched

edit: 2D works wonders getting out but it's not entirely reliable, more often than not it's the offscreen fireballs that get me back in the sandwich, if i can't see it in time I can't void em in time. not to mention things aren't interesting if i'm just j.C-ing and 4C-ing all day

ps if i autoguard spikechaser you should mash 3c. bang's 5d/2d are vulnerable to lows and his 6d has like 20 frames between end of autoguard and start of attack.

also guys, in case you didn't know: litchi's DP is punishable. go to training mode, pick, say, lamda. block litchi dp. immediately mash 5c. watch as the staff falls right through you and you get to combo her.

you have about ~20 frames to punish her, so based your stuff off that

there are some conditions where hitting her after she does dp doesnt stop the projectile from hitting you, though..i think it involves not blocking the initial dp and hitting with a projectile, but i havent tested it much

I entered a ton of points in that darn Mt Dew contest hoping to win a 360 too. Considering selling it for PS3 money or just keeping it only for BBCS if I win.

1)How would we start rankings? Would we just make random groups real quick and then reorganize after an hour based on the ranks generated then, or what?

2)Would the loser note who won/lost since I assume we'd do winner stays rotation, or would someone who doesnt play keep track of wins/losses, or what?

exclusives on both sides should be main thing in your decision

examples of shit i'd care about:

xbox has 2002UM, NGBC, castlevania:harmony of despair(fuck reviewers), banjo 360, battlestations pacific, deathsmiles, upcoming Trouble Witches shmup, and probably other stuff i forget

tekken 6 also loads fucktons faster on 360 for no reason

ps3 has valkyria chronicles, chaos breaker(gotta do jpn psn account thing but it is apparently pretty easy), little big planet, and most importantly imported ah3 unless they changed to the new sdk mid-development and decide to lock it, and obviously other stuff that i forget

iirc hokuto musou is faster on ps3 for japan but i dont know if NA version is different

if it was a jap 360 you'd have more options like senko no rondo duo which looks awesome, too

i also hear GG overture is legit, interesting and fun, but i have a hard time caring due to the lack of venom, bridget, slayer, i-no, chipp, may, etc...

who you have to play online with in certain games is also a big factor.

also i suppose borrowing is useful to note, too. i'd let you borrow battlestations, for example, and there's plenty of ps3 dads around here you could probably borrow from.

also

i know a few of you guys play WoW. do any of you play horde on quel'dorei? i was thinking of resubbing, mainly for exploration, but if cata heroics are actually interesting i may play holy paladin or warlock.

Both systems are good, but I am not shocked about a delay in all Xbox Live DLC as MS has really stupid rules for it. We will see it sooner or later, just going to have to be patient. Plus, with CS2 coming out most of the shit people would have learned with the new characters were probably going to change anyway.

I don't know if it's really a rules thing. I keep hearing about "servers." Plus, the spring BBCT bugfix patch was delayed 2 weeks for PSN, but not for XBL.

also the 360 delays thing annoys me much more past valkenhayn because for castlevania: harmony of despair, 6+ friends and i have been waiting for the dlc characters to start playing a bunch again. we got hype as shit when they found out that there were voice files and stuff that indicated there'd be like 6+ dlc charas like yoko, richter, goddamn hammer, and such, and there were even dates that confirmed julius/yoko's release in like september, but then nothing fucking happened, though they released level 7.

plus, maria and julius are very obviously complete. definitely some sort of MS problem and not konami's fault. especially since konami gave us a goddamn date.

Well, I've never cared much for 360s exclusives. The only one that I'm somewhat hype about is that new Castlevania and even that I can live without. I also still have all my PS3 games (which includes Valkaria Chronicles and I already beat it.) so that would be the best part about getting a PS3. The only reason for keeping a 360 if I won it would be I'd only get $200 max for it which isn't enough to get a new PS3 right away (I'd rather not get used...). It would mean immediate access to BBCS is all. PS3 has more likable RPGs as well so that's all I need to stay happy.

Online doesn't matter anymore thanks to this thread. Though I'm not willing to pay for online so if I stuck with 360, don't expect to see me with a Gold account. Btw, the 360s being given in the contest are 4gb.

Overall, I'm leaning toward using the 360 toward getting a PS3. Blk Friday/Christmas sales might help out.

1) Everyone would start at 1st Dan. We'd just run it on one setup at first. It'll be a little crazy in the beginning cause some people would level up really quickly but eventually it would settle out. Also every time someone ranks up they pass. That keeps someone from just running through everyone.

2) I would figure that at each meetup one person should be designated to keep up with it. And they just get the info from the players after each match.

Think I told you about it when we first met but I made a silly decision to take a console with me on a school trip, so mom decided to sell all my consoles, anime/manga, and then she got rid of my sticks. I could go on for hours about the bs she's done. P.S. she thinks BB is for homos.

eh... I still wouldn't try paying for online no matter what game I wanted it for. So yeah, never going for Live no matter how tempting. I'll stick with PS-free.

So it'd be all the 1st dans on one setup, and then as people get to 2nd dan they go to 2nd setup, and so on?

Technically we wouldn't really need a second setup until people are at 3rd dan. 2nd dans can still play 1st dans. but 3rd dans only play 2nd, 3rd and 4th dans.
