Mightfo Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 suggestion if you're getting hit after the end of a drive chain a lot, transient: try occasionally canceling into optic barrel. that leaves you +0, so. preferably after something with good pushback, if noel has such. iffy since it is 30 frames, but it's something. also transient the matches we had before everyone else was there were good shit. :D

Also I think for the most part the less setups we use for danisen the better. Its really hard to keep track of whats happening in multiple rooms haha. But yeah it was really great. I'm thinking we basically write everyone's names down as they arrive and, that'll be the order we play in until someone ranks out. Also, I kinda zoned on this part. Its supposed to be winner stays until, someone ranks up. Then 2 new people sit down and we go back to winner stays. SHOUTOUTS to me still being free with top tier characters. SHOUTOUTS to actually picking up a combo after Houtenjin SHOUTOUTS to Noel being invincible 65% of the time she is on screen. SHOUTOUTS to 236C never being a dragonpunch. The whole Danisen thing is basically a ranking system we've decided to start using so that we can keep track of how pro Frigid and Might are and how free Ice and I are. The short explanation for how it works is In a danisen league each player enters a character and begins at 1st Dan. Players fight other players within 1 rank of themselves on a single setup using a winner stays format. One win = +1 point, One loss = -1 point, +3 moves the player up 1 rank, -3 moves the player down 1 rank. Rankings go from 1st to 10th Dan, with special rankings after 10th Dan. After 10th Dan, players only fight other players of the same rank, and must instead get +5 points to move up a rank. -3 points still moves you down. Maybe I'll try it out when I get a system... Those matches were pretty sweet. Sporting Noel shenanigans all the way. That Bang 5a though...
