Technically we wouldn't really need a second setup until people are at 3rd dan. 2nd dans can still play 1st dans. but 3rd dans only play 2nd, 3rd and 4th dans. :eng101:

I see. Also, why only one setup at first?

Because we'll all be in the same area of +/- 1 rank throughout the first run.

edit: Actually, we could have 2 setups. It would just mean people are able to level faster. We could do that... but it would take double the man power to keep up with.

With 2 setups going, it looks like we'll probably have at least 2 people who aren't on setups, so it wouldnt be hard to keep up with.

I hardly play bb as is, haven't had time to get used to 6D's new startup but I finally have some time to play so i'll test out some shit.

also guys, in case you didn't know: litchi's DP is punishable. go to training mode, pick, say, lamda. block litchi dp. immediately mash 5c. watch as the staff falls right through you and you get to combo her.

I thought everyone knew this? o_o...although it kinda helps that a friend of mine plays litchi.

good news everyone, I'm not going to the tourney tomorrow for sure but ToD will inform people of the danisen on saturday :O

also holy shit spent 5 hours out of 8 hour shift putting up backstock. manager and assistant manager double ordered everything -_-;;

for a bit i was like "maybe i should switch my main and sub" but then i remembered how fucking amazing frkz/bumpers/steel rain are.

ToD = Tomato of Doom = Brandi = come on dude :/

i have never seen her name acronym'd before, everyone just calls her tomato

which i wish was good because it's kind of a fun show

though, i don't really know if it'd be any good if infinites were banned

I'm thinking about picking up Bang. I love how FRKZ changes him from Bang Shishigami to Mag-fuckin'-neto.

fun things about bang:

-being able to autoguard-teleport helps against zoning, especially haku 4c or lamda oki.

-daifunka is easy to throw in combos and carries to corner, so if you like corner pressure..

-frkz is, as you said, fucking amazing. 5a 5b dash 5a 5b.. is a frametrap. 5a 5b 2b dash 5a 5b 2b.. is rock solid. you can do assloads of 4-way mixup with fairly reliable blockstrings to set up the right distance to crossup dash-command grab, too.

-bumpers and nails are nice. bang's lack of neutral situation normals are largely replaced with these.

-2 airdashes is fun for some spacing/mixup stuff

-poison nail keeps momentum, so airdash-236a throws you into a nice, quick arc that avoids some anti airs well.

-steel rain.

-rapid cancel command grab for 4-4.7k damage. u tager

-slidekick

meh things about bang:

-autoguard isnt that great at all at close range, gatlings/special cancels with eat it alive.

-unlike, say, litchi, absolutely shitty amount of neutral-situation normals. 5a, 5b, maybe 2c or 2a for catching low-profiles, and maybe 5d/6c for anti air. everything else on ground is for oki/blockstrings/combos.

-doesnt benefit from corner much combo-wise aside from grab combos

-slidekick is unsafe :(

I'll mess around with it for a bit if you bring it. I did hear the game had dumb-good pressure.

Even from max distance?

It's -16, so against most characters, yeah. Way risky, no low profile.

Sorry, I don't think I'll be able to make it. Family complications came up, but I'll try to make it next Friday.

Funny how Bang's RC sort of came out but he didn't lose the meter. I mean yeah, he lost but...

If you RC after triggering Hakumen's distortion, it doesn't take meter because you're already frozen/screwed.
