Solidus Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 The setup would definitely help. Also give more people to access to friendlies while we cleanup the Melee bracket (Which should go pretty fast). If you have a monitor/TV to bring with it that would be ideal as well. I put a number of my TVs in my friends car after the last monthly and he accidentally drove them to Arizone for the summer!

zreb Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 my car will only hold about 4 people max maybe, probably more like 3 realistically if I'm bringing a setup (with a Samsung LCD monitor) between that and everyone's shit. more than likely cookie will also be passing up through denton in transit, but dunno how many people he's bringing with him from Dallas. If there's significant interest we will probably need a third person driving :p

So I can't expect everyone to packup their shit at last moments notice. Be sure and push the Hype machine for August 20th, Super Bit Wars. Witchita Kansas is going to send a couple of AH3, BB, and Melty Blood players out then, oh and we are adding Melty Blood Actress Again. All these gamers are really hard to build hype for, but they are all excellent titles and I'm hoping by including alot of air-dashers we can garner more interest. We just found our venue and we might have a small room just for air-dashers. I don't know if its better to put Dustloopy stuff in the same room with marvel and smash, or give it its own spot.

I don't know if its better to put Dustloopy stuff in the same room with marvel and smash, or give it its own spot. To speak from experience, DFW is a pretty overwhelmingly SF4/Marvel dominated area. The UCC/Barfights thing in town gets WAY more turnout for those than things like BB/AH3. Never personally had any glaring problems, so as far as I'm concerned it's a non-issue. But then I'm not exactly sure what you have in mind when you talk about separating them! @Jet: Gonna stay here tomorrow, forgot I have something work-related to do with my dad (!! surprise cameo).
