jetblaksuit Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 The problem with SF4 Yun is that he's a B-tier character in a game full of D-tier characters. He has every tool that should be standard for fighting game characters, but he's surrounded by one-trick ponies, so he stands out as "broken". Eh. I see what you're getting at but, even if they gave the entire cast the buffs I would like I still think he'd ruin the balance of the game.

If they introduce more "balanced" characters, people like me complain about how boring and one-dimensional the cast is, but when they create a character well-equipped for the SF4 engine (which hasn't happened since Vanilla Ryu), it ruins the game. It's not like Yun has really dominated the tourney scene yet, either, so the complaints seem a little preemptive (though I don't doubt he will with time). The only person to win a major with Yun so far is Daigo, and he's going to win regardless of which character he picks.

I have had Suguri/Acceleration of Suguri for years on my PC, the first one's a pretty fun (and difficult) horizontal shmup. Acceleration's a lot of fun to play with other people, it's like deathmatching with touhous. I used to netplay it with a friend of mine back in the day, I should pick up the PSN version. Spewing hundreds of missiles at people never ceases to get any less amusing.
