Jago Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 i recently figured out that my Mu's Physical tactics are strictly based off Ragna as far closing is concern. i suggest you stay good distance and apply nothing but pressure with both stains and physical attacks such a 6b 2b and 3c. i suggest combo 2a 2b and switch it up between 6b and 3c. either 1 or or the other is going to work, this works for me all the time
Jago Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 you can also add 5b in between 2b and 6b or 5c to 3c if you want
TD Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Okay, so my little brother is raping me by only pressing C and D. His tricks are easy bypass with my Ara, but I'm helpless as Mu. Help. Ok, wow? Shouldn't that be completely turned around?

AdamNW Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Ok, wow? Shouldn't that be completely turned around? That was exactly my thoughts before I actually tried the fight.
FlyingVe Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I've been having trouble with Lambda's corner "trap". By that I mean when you are stuck in the corner and she is locking you down with 5D, 214D, parsers, crescent saber, etc... I know that if you IB the swords you can punish several things, but I would like to know what my options are. Trying random things just to get CH around like a scrub isn't fun.
Synthesis Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 When you see the startup of 214D, super jump IAD out.
FlyingVe Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Really, for some reason I had never tried that... Thanks, that will makes things much better, the rest of the matchup is cake.
Big Red Tie Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 yeah, if they like spamming 214D© in the corner you can reliably super jump out without getting punished you could also maybe 6C FC. someone should test it.
Zeromus_X Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 you could also maybe 6C FC. someone should test it. Whenever I try this I always get COUNTER'd, but maybe I'm not doing it fast enough.
L1F3 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 If you block her ground saw, 236D, she's positive 41, but add the nearly 30 frames of recovery, that leaves you somewhere around -20 and spike chaser has 35 frames of start up... so you have around 15 frames to jump out and IAD before it comes out or hit her with some thing during her start up thats fast enough, but only if she's spaced poorly and is too close to you. If you dont air dash after you super jump over it, /\-11 can 2DD > 6DD > 214D to put you back into corner pressure while breaking a primer for free. Also, any decent /\-11 shouldnt be doing 214D after 236D anyways and should just wait for you to jump or just go into 5DD\j.2DD pressure. Like what Synthesis stated, just IAD when you see the 214D start up and you get to do stuff. it also puts /\-11 in a situation where she can get put into the corner herself lol
FlyingVe Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Whenever I try this I always get COUNTER'd, but maybe I'm not doing it fast enough. It's spacing dependent. Good lambda's will space themselves so that the spikes hit you out of startup and you take a big CH combo. If you IB swords 6C becomes hilariously effective, but you still have to watch for her rushes.
Ryujinflame Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I've been looking to find a sure-fire counter to sweeping Act Parsers, but haven't got it yet. Any solid options on IB, or even just regular block? I think I remember reading you can throw them on startup, so I'm just concerned about a blocking situation.
FlyingVe Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I've gotta ask, how reliably can you actually backdash the parser? It seems awfully dangerous to me.
Synthesis Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 It depends on the spacing and the timing. It's like backdashing certain attacks. If you time it right, you get a free CH if she did C parser to bait a jump out which will lead to stupid damage.
FlyingVe Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I'll have to play with it I guess, though you can just chicken block C parser for a punish. Tough part is telling the difference between parsers in time to pick a correct response. If backdashing works reliably it would be an awesome solution to the problem.
Shockna Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Is C Parser an overhead? If not, couldn't you just block low to be safe from both B and C Parsers?
FlyingVe Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Yes, but B parser is -0 and C is -4. Both are safe, and Lambda can be very annoying off the B parser. By chicken Blocking (air blocking) you are giving yourself more frame advantage to punish. Air Barrier IB should leaves C parser at -13 (I think) and you can punish. Regular IB also works, but you get more from an Air block when it's an option.
Shockna Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 That's a pretty serious disadvantage for IBed C Parsers, but do you happen to know the frame advantage on a regular block? I mainly play online until I can justify putting away 150 dollars for a good stick, and IB isn't a terrible viable strategy online. Also, what's the advantage on just having B parser miss completely?
Synthesis Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 That, and if she does A parser and you don't react fast enough, you run the risk of getting thrown or mixed up. It's not very strong, but that possibility is there and backdash is a sure fire way to be safe if you time it correctly.
