I havnt seen Shoot enter any quals yet and he was just at the last one to run it cuz he works at Sportsland. He was pretty busy so I didnt have a chance to really talk to him but if I see him around I will ask him his plans. I know he was playing BB pretty heavily for a while so he might be focusing on BB over GG this year but im not sure

I'm just asking a silly question about a comment you made,what is it that sets RF's Faust apart from the rest of the really good Faust's in JP? Is his speed or play-style really weird or is he just textbook? ....but I will say Kiisha has been doing some crazy shit lately

I guess his style is textbook, but the thing is he has so good knowledge about everything and is very good at reacting to certain situations in the best possible way. That and his awesome zoning and spacing abilities makes it hell to catch him. But it is true, he doesn't do as much crazy shit as others Faust-players might be doing. He is kinda taking the basics to the next level, minimizing risks and optimizing positioning. imo.. but I have yet to play any Kantou-Fausts. Edit: Oh, and whenever the vids from the qualifier I went to are released, you will get to see some awesome Axl-action with Nekomimi(ax)

Well, I honestly dont see him play very often because he lives in Kansai but when I saw him when he came for that qual he just seemed to play so much more efficient than most Fausts. Its like, he doesnt do anything super crazy I guess, but he just sometimes does pressure strings I wouldnt expect or just always seems to know the most efficient possible way to handle almost any situation. Like just small nuances where the smallest little frame could change a whole situation, he knows exactly one little thing to do to turn it all around. I know it sounds vague and I cant really give a bunch of insight on it, I only saw him play just a little bit. On another note, Kishya is indeed very very good. For some reason I tend to do very well against him in mirror matches but that doesnt mean anything. Hes just really smart but his style is way different than RF. I would say Kishya plays more risky than RF.

Speaking of Kishya (or Kisha? I dunno), his team won the block qualifier for SBO, btw. So looks like your option of teaming up with H.H. is still open if you still wish to pursue that route...

Actually that was a different block, there were 2 blocks (Yamanishi and Yamagata) going on that weekend, the winner of the tournament I went to still has yet to be reported.

Just had a random idea. Do you think it would be good to make a Japan thread in the Match Finder section. I always feel bad about going way off topic with random bs in here, and it would be a good way for people who are coming to Japan and want to set up meets/drinking/whatevering to set that up. Courswe this thread would live on to chronical ES's adventure's but all the other random bs could be in the Japan thread. Could be helpful I guess, though our merry little band is pretty much disbanded come summer time In other news, GG's every one on fri/sat. Anyway, after eating we split ways and I went back to the manga kissa to sleep. However, on the way there, I was wearing my Street Fighter II hoody cuz it was a little chilly out, and this random chick on the street sees me and just yells "Tiger Uppercut!" in that sorta engrish Japanese accent. It was fucking awsome. I turned and gave her a grin and a thumbs up and carried on to go to sleep.

Though Rod and his ability to drink less beer in a night than us in an hour could very well swing the event in his favor:vbang: Just messing around, you know I <3 our drunk vs sober matches Rod Sucks you didn't make it to the tournament. I ended up spending all day dling the beta for this MMO I've been waiting to come out for like 2 years so I could play the last day of the preview weekend. In the end, I basically watched the progress bar fill up for 6 hours, finally logged on at like 3am, played a few hours and passed out at the keyboard. Shoulda gone and played gear:vbang:

Have fun dying at your keyboard swimming in your own lazy MMO player feces btw I just tried one of those beers I bought in Okubo at that liquor store and the IPA is like hands down the best Japanese beer I have ever had. At 280 yen a can but at 7% ABV, its totally worth it compared to how expensive most beer in Japan is anyway and how fuckin tasty and strong it is. Im gonna stock up a whole backpack full next time im near there. The new Yebisu was pretty lame unfortunately. Nothing can beat The Hop!
