Fellow NC players!!!! For those of you who may remember me *WAVE* If not then well nice to meetcha. I will be personally be running a BlazBlue Continuum Shift Tournament December 18, in Fuquay-Varina at 7PM. The new game lounge that has opened up on Main St. It will be played on PS3 , custom pads allowed. Best out of 3 matches with best out of 3 rounds. I don't like the new Bang changes much. 623B wall bounce was the most fun part of the character, now it's gonna be way less satisfying. If I ever do play again I'll probably switch to Valk, but honsestly, I think I'm just going to retire. By the time I could practice, MVC3 will be out, and I care about that a lot more than animu lol

As for the tvs at the place, yeah man, I appreciate the effort but we can't even stands lag. It makes us grumpy and call everyone whippersnappers and talkin about how we played fighting games in the snow ect.

this is like the 3rd gaming center place thats tried this and all of them have had laggy tvs, simply because people think just having a HDTV lcd is enough. Stupid technology.

If they're close enough by and I can get a ride, I'll stop by said tournament. It'd be a huge inconvenience for gaming centers to purchase special televisions for fighting games and I appreciate the well-meaning effort, so I won't mind STOPPING THE REIGN OF JON LAGTON

Okie. Update for BB Tourny in December. 10.00 per person, and 1st prize takes 50% of pot, 2nd prize at least gets refunded and other free stuff, while well 3rd place gets some free stuff including mugs, play time, etc.

LOL. Prolly the lounge but really I don't know, just relaying some info. It'd be nice if the 2nd got nice reward but *shrugs* It's pretty bad lookin when it's like 50% then NOTHING other than a cup and cards some people can't use.

You should charge a separate venue fee and then an entry for BB that's the pot in its entirety.

^This. Charge a small venue fee (3 bux would be good since you're only running 1 game) and make sure the entire entry fee for the game you're running goes to the players. 70% for 1st, 20% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd. This is standard tournament practice, and what you're suggesting above along with the fact that you're not using suitable TVs will make absolutely sure that your tournament will fail.

Good idea, I'll keep that in mind and run it by the lounge owner, I don't think the TV thing gonna be fixed anytime soon lol. I'm running the tournament at the game lounge but by no means in charge of the place there. Of course first time running a lounge tournament. I wish I had funds to do so myself. Appreciate the feedback guys.

Yeah, the TVs are just out of most people's control unless you were doing fighter tournaments only and like, WHO DOES THAT?

Definitely getting MvC3, most all of us will, the question is who will actually keep playing it!

I'm looking at probably Arthur, maybe Chris or Trish, probably a character that hasn't been shown yet. A lot of them look like characters I would enjoy. I played Saki and Souki in TvC.

Well yeah, the place runs all sorts of tournments FPS,Sports,Racing, Fighting, etc. Whatever is asked for the most.

That's what's up with MvC3! Although I'm worried if Megaman won't make a launch appearance. *sniff* So far I've been most interested in Wesker, Amatersau , and Dante as main team from what we've seen. Although I am extremely tempted to of course try them all... I think Dormammu, is going to be craazy. Think Jill will play similar to Jill in MvC2?

Saki is BEAST. I never touched Souki so I give you props. I always played with Blade and rotated with Joe the Condor, Polimar, or Ippatsuman.

Probably SuperSkrull, Deadpool, Taskmaster and Magneto too.. hmm looks like I'm playing villains only lol The capcom roster has way too much fanboyism in there for me to even want to play any of them.

I don't want to jump the shark but I think people would play mvc3 longer than some of these recent hit and misses, if not theres always mortal kombat 9 to save our immortal souls lolol
