No man, how is Lebron a douche? Because he left the Cavs? A shitty losing team? I think not. Just popular to hate on Lebron nowadays.

As well, only people who are laughing at the Heat are the ones who don't even watch bball. Yeah, they lost. But they're still gonna be good next year, if not even better.

no, actually, he is a douche. I was going to link a gif of him taking his jacket off pre-game. one of the helpers comes to take his jacket off him and holds his hand out, but lebron throws it TO THE GROUND, forcing the guy to bend down to pick it up, despite the fact his hand was pretty much right there. lebron then takes off his second layer as he's walking off and flings that away as well - one of his teammates tries to catch it for the helper, but misses, so he has to pick that one off the ground too. I couldn't find it again, but it's out there.

regardless of if the heat had won the finals or not, regardless of the decision, regardless of how good lebron is as an individual player, lebron is a jackass. I don't blame him for leaving the cavs because, hey, if I was him I would have left too - every professional athlete wants a shot to stand at the top of his field, after all. arrogance is not the same as being a douche though - federer doesn't garner nearly as much hate as lebron does, and for a good reason.

speaking of the finals, I'm surprised neither of you brought up lebron's post-match interview, in which he managed to insult both haters AND fans in the same sentence. for those of you who didn't see it, what lebron basically said, in response to people's criticism, was "at the end of the day, I'm rich, you guys aren't, so fuck you."

Well, this is what he said afterwards.

"Basically, I was saying, at the end of the day, this season is over and with all the hatred not only myself, everyone else has to move on with their lives. I wasn't saying that I'm superior or better than anyone else, any man or woman on this planet. I'm not. That wasn't my intent."

It's funny since I didn't actually think he was saying he's better than anyone. I just kinda thought he meant that everyone is just gonna move on with their lives, although that's still kinda a weird thing to say and I can see how people took it out of context.

Also I don't even know why I'm chiming in, fuck basketball.

GAME 7. DECIDE THE DESTINY.

well specifically he says that everybody else has to go back to the problems in their life and back to the 'real world' while he's going to keep doing whatever he wants to do. given the public backlash it's a given that his publicist/whoever would have told him to make that additional statement though.

regardless

fuck basketball

I don't think we'll have riots even if we do lose this year though, police are cracking down like the ss. and with good reason too, since they know what to expect, thanks to 94. who's watching where tonight?

haha goku in starcraft. god I remember you linking that a long, long time ago.

after watching the riot videos, I've concluded that these are NOT Vancouver ppl.

Look at them. DO YOU SEE ANY ASIANS???

Honestly I don't think the riot was as bad as people made it out to be. It was pretty much localized to a few streets and we aren't talking about millions of dollars of damage, it was a few cars, a few dumb fights and some broken windows (one idiot tried to kick in the windows at scotiabank and failed at doing so). I didn't feel like I really feared for my safety even when the crowds started running.

That having been said, for the relative level of violence and destruction that ended up occurring I think the police and security did a piss poor job. Half of georgia had NO cops on it, and they were deploying tear gas as a containment measure at the very end of the roads instead of sending people in to break up the fights, which had the effect of boxing in a wide (and meaningless) perimeter of innocent bystanders. At no time did i feel the cops actually wanted to get involved in suppressing the destruction.

Most of what you saw on TV (cops administering beatings etc.) was really the exception. I was standing there and thugs were kicking and breaking shit while the police just stood there trying to do their best impression of a NATO peacemaker. On other roads there was absolutely no police presence while people threw garbage cans at the stores. Like wtf?

The standards of security in Canada really baffle me. Security people are absolutely willing to taser confused immigrants, punch students and beat harmless dirty hippies with riot shields at G20, but they are not willing to confront people setting things on fire in the street here in Vancouver. It's like they're only willing to throw around their weight when they know the target is not actually a threat.

A strange thing about KOF13 that I never at the arcades is that the walking animation is really... odd. Like, just playing the animation it looks fine, but when the sprite translates across the screen, they look like they are sliding across the screen rather than walking across it.

This is probably because everybody is always running/rolling/jumping/DROPKICKing.

Raiden's super fast jump is still weird as hell and I have no idea why they thought that would be a good idea.

Raiden's been taking lessons from Bob and Rufus.

At least he can't divekick... yet...

On the other hand, having fast moving big guys is actually kinda fun.

Mighty glacier characters tend not to be good balance wise, usually they either end up overpowered against most of the cast and die to a few bad matchups, or underpowered against everyone.

#R Potemkin was underpowered because he went even against some characters, but got absolutely destroyed by a lot. AC Potemkin blows up a big chunk of the cast because his buffs are stupid good against most characters, but his bad matchups are still terrible for all the same reasons. If you want to take it to extremes, Slash Eddie and Dizzy were awful characters, but still had advantage on Potemkin who got buffed quite heavily in Slash.

As a player, I actually prefer #R Pot. I like to use my meter for sucker punch combos and DAA's, plus playing against #R Eddie is way more fun. #R Bridget too. Both characters used to be able to jack up the guard meter with their helpers, so fights could end real fast. Slash and AC Bridget take 10 years to kill Potemkin. I bet Chuck misses the 90% combos after Fire bear.

I've been pretty "Genki Sudo" lately, music and dance wise. Slow-mo is awesome.

Genki Sudo looks like the buff version of Nigel, just like you know, how I felt at one mil-second moment.
