It was probably the noise from shuffling MJ tiles. That's loud as hell.

I wish that they had only come up to complain about the noise. what happened doesn't need to be repeated here, but needless to say I'm going to be a lot stricter with enforcing rules on the roof from now on, particularly when alcohol is involved.

pete: no more hard liquors on the roof. 21% is not "bitch", and you guys finished all the soho plus half the vodka. "it just tasted so good" is not a valid excuse. I'm pretty close to banning all alcohol from the roof, so don't push it.

as we noticed, sound carries down very well to the fourth floor balconies, so going to have to lay off the yelling as well.

What up again WC I didn't come here to completely troll and spam in your thread this time. I was wondering if you guys would liked to be informed of future major/regionals being run in Montreal like MAT8, thanks.

I don't know. BoJ. Montreal is a long ways away, and most of us are dayjob deadbeats. Not like the good ole days when we actually attended tournaments. Damn, being an adult sucks.

If you guys have a major and the prize is worth it, or if it's sometime when I don't have exams, then I'd be interested in going. I wouldn't mind going to one next year, if it's around summer time. Even if it's just for casuals or any meet-up.

We had a major on the first weekend of June, which was part of EVO season. As such will probably continue to be that way for a while I would believe.

hahaha internet flooded with lebron jokes

blah blah has no ring

blah blah chokes

blah blah no fourth quarter

blah blah leave work 12 minutes early

etc

it does help that lebron is a total douche, though

No man, how is Lebron a douche? Because he left the Cavs? A shitty losing team? I think not. Just popular to hate on Lebron nowadays.

As well, only people who are laughing at the Heat are the ones who don't even watch bball. Yeah, they lost. But they're still gonna be good next year, if not even better.

Leaving a team is one thing, but The Decision was straight-up heel turn. And then he talks about how "everybody wants him to fail"... no, really? And with quotes like spoiling people with his great performances, it's pretty easy to cast him as an arrogant, let-them-eat-cake egomaniac.

He's a pretty amazing athlete and player who somehow sputters in the 4th quarter of big games.

Ali said "it's not bragging if you can back it up", so it's no surprise that when the man that act likes he's the best player on earth underperforms, people delight in it.

Remember that series of 3D action/adventures that got a few too many Uwe Boll movies?

No? I don't blame you.

I don't know. I didn't really view The Decision as a heel move. Although it was showmansy and somewhat uncalled for, you have to admit Lebron knows how to hype things up, which ultimately helps the sport and his lucrative value in it. Yeah, you can claim that he is arrogant, but so are many other great players in other sports, but that's because they have the track record to back it up. Crosby pissed about not being on the Olympic team in 2006, Federer during his hayday of 2005-2007, if you watched the interviews he sounded so smug with quotes like "Yeah, it feels pretty good to be so dominant in the sport". You need a certain amount of arrogance in sports, to believe that you're the best as with anything else.

Of course, you have to somewhat back it up, which Lebron did by almost single handedly taking the Cavs to the Final that one year. Alexey however...... YOU WANNA BE THE BEST?

Results are the critical difference between Ali and Lebron.

Ali was the greatest one-man hype machine ever, and for all his "I'm soooooooo much better than that guy", he delivered time after time.

Of course, it also helps that boxing is a solo sport, not a team one.

All the hype that comes out of Lebron's mouth also always winds up getting a super-negative spin. Whether or not he wants to be a heel, he's totally wound up casting himself as one. Shaq is a clown, but he's such a clown that he doesn't get considered a heel, even during the Kobe/Shaq feud. Kobe has all kinds of smug things to say, but then again he's the guy with 5 rings, so he's got a bit more credibility.

I personally think that getting together with other players to make a deal to play together shouldn't be such a big deal. When a player takes a "hometown discount", he's seen as noble. When Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all take less than they're worth, it's time to call in the anti-trust. It's a double standard, but one that's certainly exacerbated by the whole Decision thing. I do kind of wonder if Lebron winning this championship would've made him look even worse, though, because rightly or wrongly it'll totally look like Miami bought the championship with the help of a superstar conspiracy. At least by losing the first time out, it shows the world that they aren't instantly invincible. Maybe it's actually a super-long term damage control play, losing this championship. Lebron's disappearing act was totally planned, and his tears were an Oscar-worthy act. ILLUMINATI

That's an interesting point you brought up. Definitely in the long run it's more beneficial for Lebron and the boys to lose this one. If they had won, it would've definitely garnered A LOT of hate, since everyone was cheering against them. But that's the American mentality. They love the underdog and hate the OP, unless it's their own against other countries. Heat will eventually win. They're too stacked not to, and I have no doubt LeBron will. He's 25, Jordan I think was 29 when he won his first.

This reminds me of Football(Soccer) where teams like Real Madrid and Chelsea just throw money all over the place to acquire stacked teams of superstars, yet no one calls them out.
