Star-Demon Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Well, for a few reasons, I think: 1. It's the same 5 players. We don't do enough to get players exposed or get behind them. 2. Game has bad netplay. I play it sometimes, it's ok, but without lobbies a game isn't going to get traction. 3. It's hard. This game is no joke, and the gap between pros and amateurs (or even casuals) is huge. EVO was some great stuff. Great matches - but the lack of variety and viability hurts when this game is so hard. I play a character people tell me has no purpose in the game. When I got this game - none of the characters I used to play were in it, so I had to settle. In some cases I got into it (VICE!) and some I'm just kinda blah (Mature and Mai). So - TL;DR: Game has same problems as anime, but worse.

I feel like I'd probably be good enough at the game to place high at tourneys if I could go to them, KOF13 is still getting some love here, glad it's back in EVO also. haketh Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 There are alot of Clark's still getting played, and why is it a suprise alot of the high tier characters are getting used? It's like that in any competeitive game and we still see a good amount of varieity in gameplay.
