So Vince got owned and got 2nd and Justin avenged whoever got Vince to 2nd everything was a slaughter and Justin got first!

This is just a bracket in AZ in it's own meaning that's AZ's outcome of our whole group.

My last time I am going to SCR it was pretty bad...the only reason both Jusitn and Vince lost is because of a laggy setup that had the stream on. You don't want to have lag on characters like Bang or Litchi for crucial inputs/commands.

The setup of matches was horrible. SCR didn't start till later than scheduled and the brackets took way too long to finish...suppose to be 5hours I think but it ended up being more than 5 hours....8 hours with tekken 6 slowly starting...it was hella dumb if not anything worse than EVO.

What the fuck? Did you guys rant to them about incorprating lag into, what's suppose to be, a lagless matchup? If we wanted lag, let's just fucking hook up the stream capture AND fucking play online through PSN and make a lobby for every-fucking-body.

So they had everyone by area play eachother before the pools, or do I have it wrong? If so that sucks, Ruben was telling me how he was worried about that...

Nah I'm pretty sure they seeded by area code.

The road trip and hotel stay was so much more fun/hype than the event itself. There was 1 crappy GG casual setup, 1 BB casual setup, and about at least 30 SF setups. Hardly got to play anything with anyone. I think if we want to actually play some casuals with them we'd need to just go there on some random weekend instead of during a tourney. Still had fun, though I'm not planning on attending SCR again.

Best story of the trip:

We got to our hotel room and the first thing we did was check the TV for component inputs. Found none.

Turned on the TV and it's playing a trailer for the movie "Salt."

That set the stage for the rest of the time there.

Sucks that this would have been a chance to go to an out of state tournament with my favorite Troll (Brian) but sounds like it wasn't worth it.

Seriously.... ONE CASUAL BB SET UP!? One GG set up surpasses all expectations for GG but only one BB? That's shocking, and even having 30 SF set ups sounds on the low side for that game.

Sounds like driving out there for a weekend of casuals with Cali players would be worth it, but not this :O

IMO though, if you want heavy casuals, EVO is where it's at.

edit: Just saw the results on event hubs, good shit with Cammy Dan, who did you play through out the event?

The "lag setup" was due to the recording software having to use the analog signal in order to capture the video in the first place, which is fine, but when they converted the analog signal to a digital signal for the monitor and that's where they fucked up.... I swear these people should not have run the BB tourney. It's more annoying that after that Makoto player I-forget-who-his-name-is tested it and they all were like "yeah I guess it lags guyz" they still continued to hold matches on it.... Either way, yeah the trip itself and the ride was more fun, SCR was barely half as awesome as Devastation TBH, and I'll probably not go again.

Congrats Dan for your HDR performance, it would've been great to watch you but 8pm wasn't working out for us.

So Brian, about Sax Man..... THAT WAS IN OUR HYPE CAR, DON'T COPY US.

We heard from Justin later that he messed up the Cali people, so maybe he has more to say about everything.

Tempered, ironically I don't think we were going to really play BB much anymore until BBCS2 comes out, but if you wanna play you can come over whenever people invade my house and we can play.

Oh and KOF13 is awesome. The ONLY fun and worthwhile KOF yet. I mainly say this cause I beat Vince 3 out of 4 times yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'll look back to this post in the future and laugh.

I couldn't have got a better bracket if I paid off the guy who made it.

Choi didn't show up. This was a godsend, Ryu can fuck Cammy up, and patient Ryus especially.

My first real fight was against some guy named Red Rapper who I'd never heard of before. I think he used Ryu, but I didn't expect to lose to him and he failed to surprise or shock me into thinking different.

After this was Snake Eyez, the monster Gief who took EVO.

For whatever reason, he chose to fight me with Ryu right off the bat. I fought it with confidence, believing at the time that this was a blunder on his part.

He switched to Gief afterwards and beat me pretty handily our second game, but our third match I managed to beat him, getting a perfect round 1, losing round 2, then zoning him to death round 3.

Winning that match got me into the finals. I think if SE had used Gief from the outset, things would have been different. According Kuroppi, his Ryu is amazing, but I didn't know that. While I'm terrified of his Gief, I'm not so scared of his alts.

My first fight in the top 8 was versus Count Fuddulous. This match was probably the closest thing to having to fight one of you guys in a GG tournament I experienced at SCR - I've fought Fudd a fuckton on XBL, and we've been on friendly terms for many months.

I think this made it an uphill battle for Fudd. If he had never fought me before, I think he would have done much better vs. me. Because of our prior experience, I was much more relaxed during this match than I was for my matches vs. Valle and Daigo

After that I fought Valle. I was nervous and butterfingered some stuff (including a TOD opportunity D:), and even though Valle did a bit as well, I'm sure it was because he was rusty and not because he was frightened of me (if I'd TOD'd him, then maybe I'd have made him nervous) . He beat me pretty handily.

After this I fought Daigo. I was almost relieved to do so, due to his exclusive use of Guile during the tournament. I feel I know the Guile matchup very well - even though Guile vs. Cam is heavily in Guile's favor, I feel that it's almost like the Sim matchup (which is heavily in Cam's favor) - things go well for Guile if he can keep Cam out, but if Cam gets close enough to knock him down so that she may cross him up on oki, things get a lot more even - I can choose to perform standard oki, or go for a lk crossup that forces Guile to choose between suffering mixup, or eating a drill if he tries to flash kick out (which gives Cam a knockdown and another xup opportunity).

Also, Daigo is not familiar with HDR Cam properties. This is why I was able to land a super on him. Same for Valle, I believe.

Sadly, Daigo was able to keep me out for the most part and I was too timid to try for a simple tick the one time I recall landing a crossup lk (block) on him. Also, I thought for some reason that this game was 3/5. Even though I had just lost the FT2 winner's finals. Derp.

Ah I also got to play some GG today vs. the Axl playing guy, some Faust player and Dr. Stormlocke. That was fun, even tho I got shut out by Stormlocke
