You could dash in, use it to bait throws until they respect you, and then start doing things like command dash > 214S or whatever. Baiken looks like a lot of fun again now that tat mats don't launch Honestly, I've never been excited for Guilty Gear as much as I am to see if they've finally balanced the game.

Dash is still just as gimmicky as it always was. Letting you counter through the whole move doesn't change the fact that they'll still pot buster you out of it or hit you with a mashed 2K into combo. Just wait for the character specific 1-hit tatamis or TK tatamis to be integral to her combos. =P

They were 214 when I played her back in X. xD And since you can input counters, why not do ouren to stop 2K mash? =D or to beat pot buster. Isn't ouren safe on block?

I suppose it depends on when the "last half of the animation" starts. Early enough, it *could* be useful in extending blockstrings or in combos off of heavy hits, but there's definitely not much in the way of mixup opportunity in it. The video makes it look like the window doesn't open until the ass end of the move, which is well into useless territory. I'd *much* rather Baiken be able to FDC the run. Oh god that would be amazing. Baikens dashing bravely across the screen, alternating between high/low block state, buffering counters the whole time... so beautiful

Erik, it's time for you to choose another character, 'cause I'm going to be 5sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 5h icespiking all day, also the bubble loop is so piss hard I don't even see it in match vids on Acho, etc. I mean... force break lightning spike could probably make for some new combos.

I'm also hoping Bridget becomes more viable because I always wanted to learn him too.

That was the change. xD Pretty sure that's still awful outside of combos, especially since you can only do them during the 2nd half of the dash, at which point if you haven't been thrown or eaten a low you get to guess at something that will probably get you punished anyways. [Justice] Lost triple jump, ground dash and triple airdash lol. thats how they're going to balance justice. remove the ground dash... and all the extra jumps/dashes... looks like she's going to go from broken to boring.
