I'm probably a bigger monster hunter fan than anyone else on this thread, but I will NEVER buy a Nintendo console just for that. Besides, the 3DS gives me a massive headache. I'm not saying you're dumb if you have a 3DS, I'm just saying that if you have a 3DS you're probably a few plums short of a fruit pie (Thanksgiving coming up).

Are there any vita games I should be aware of? I want to get Wipeout and a few others once they get to be like 20 bucks, but I'm not sure at the moment.

Both have multiplayer (that's actually like the whole point of MH). I'm also pretty sure you can turn off the 3D effects on the 3DS.

Honestly, the only other Vita game I can think of at this point is Technika.

Yeah I was playing my friend's 3DS once to try out that FF musical game, but I had to turn off the 3D effect as well it was really annoying.

The best Vita game out right now is Gravity Rush, I love it and still need to beat it ( I never play portable games). P4 Golden looks sweet, but I'm not going to buy a game that I already know the story of already, it sounds like a waste and I don't play things for nostalgic value, or else I'd still be playing Mario RPG Legend of the 7 stars every day.

Wouldn't a game like Monster Hunter look much more beautiful on a console like the Vita over the 3DS?

I feel I am more or less ready to jump ship on maining zappa. I get frustrated every time i see the sword cause of how stupid it is. Certainly i'll still play him some so i can mess around with air edguy, but we'll see how much i like him when the game comes out. On the plus side, if i don't main zappa, that will give me more time to practice up and keep my title of #1 AZ Kliff!

I'm not sure what my schedule is like on friday yet, but i'll let you know if can make it once i figure out whats going on and when.

I know they were working on new monster hunters for both the ps3 and vita but unfortunately, we'll never play them because Sony wants all of their US games to have trophy support. What a stupid reason to deprive me of one of my favorite franchises... I mean, all they would have to do is translate the damn thing.

Spent some more time looking at that matchup chart. Where did it come from? I'm wondering how accurate it is.

I compiled a tentative tierlist from that chart:

S+: Zappa

S: Faust, Chipp, Millia

A: Jam, Johnny, Axel, Venom, Dizzy, HOS, Kliff

B: Eddie, Bacon, Anji, Slayer, I-no, Robotky

B-: Ky, Testament, Bridget

C+: Potemkin

C: Sol, May, ABA, Justice

Going by that chart may, sol and ABA are down there with justice, which makes me kinda sad, I love all 3 of those chars. It won't stop me from playing them, but still.

Zappa has 2 bad (4.5) matchups and 3 even matchups. He also has a 7.0 matchup and a ton of 6.0's he is getting close to v13 level broken going by this chart. (especially considering how many more chars there are in this game.)

I think this is the first time eddie has been actually balanced! he's not S tier or fail tier.

Unless they made millia's combos more consistent or easier I might just switch to ky. I think he looks great.

Made by JP BBS, so probably unofficial. Seems pretty close to the actual list, though it feels a bit early for anything solid. Some characters are probably more or less locked into place, but the ones who saw larger changes seem to have a lot of potential to shuffle around (to me, at least). Except Justice; she seems a little too straightforward now, and I can't really see any drastic shifts coming from her in her current knees-smashed-in state.

Testament's hard to gauge. None of the videos I've seen have shown players fully capitalizing on his options now, but given how vastly different his game plan is, it's to be expected. I don't see him being top again due to the hit to his defensive game from the EXE Beast changes and the loss of BL loops for good~great damage from a large number of random attacks, but (seriously trying to be objective here) I can see him moving up as players work with more of what he should be capable of. The potential seems there, but you have to work harder now to make stuff happen, whereas HS Beast was a miracle worker in AC.
