TeeJay Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Blaz grand finals were pretty crazy. Taking over the title of hypest underplayed game away from KOF. Feedback is pretty good. It seems that many enjoyed it, even those you know nothing about BB or knew it existed. Even people on IGN was calling it nothing but hype. Hoping to see those JP players return for air-dashers in the future. Great showing by U.S. players too.

The convention center rooms that it was held in were about twice as big, the hotel and event were less crowded as a result, the hotel was cheaper and didn't serve nothing but hipster French food and we didn't have to walk a mile to get from our rooms to the event. This year made me WANT to go again next year, last year gave me erectile dysfunction. Oh and parking wasn't a headache either.

I had no problems with the hotel this year. Well.... except that 30 dollar roll-a-way bed thing, but nothing's perfect.
Dipstick Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 The venue itself was good (first time I can remember actually being able to breathe in BYOC!), but the service at the LVH/Westgate sucked ass. The bathrooms at the convention area... holy hell, No Johns was not just for Smash this year. I don't know how much of that was due to sudden staff turnover or what.

So until December? :p I'll probably start hosting sessions for UNIEL on the regular starting next week -- it would be a lot easier if H-F/Ryd/Tempered could actually agree on a consistent day though. :< (Although over half of that is because of scheduling issues from work.)
