They're a lot less half-assed than I imagined when they got hinted at back in August (except Cammy, she just couldn't go all the way I guess and just got the ears and tail). Her last costume was good though, so I guess it's just as well, meanwhile Ryu and Hakan have had bad costumes for a while, and Dudley's might just finally replace his Freddie Mercury one for me. I'm just concerned with what some of these choices might be, since Hakan being an octopus is off the wall, as is Cammy being a fox (when she has the affinity for cats and the Catwoman suit, but also has the Killer Bee name, so either could work).

 

Though, realistically, I just kind of hope they make some interesting choices on these costumes instead of copping out. Balrog is almost guaranteed to get a bison costume, but, I mostly am just hoping neither he, Elena, nor Dee Jay get any sort of monkey costume, because then there'd just be endless complaining. Beyond that, I hope all the women don't go half-way like Cammy.

Now I'm hoping for a Capcom Reference Costume Set, where every character gets a costume from another Capcom franchise.

Omega Mode has opened my eyes to the truth.

Omega Dee Jay might be the most drastically changed character. He no longer has a single charge move, even his ultras have commands.

 

Omega Poison feels like her SFxT version, with a chargeable fireball and a juggle launcher. She also has a heart trap that hangs in mid-air.

 

Omega Blanka's new teleport lightning pillar is like something out of Mortal Kombat and accentuates his scrub factor even more.

 

A ton of characters got new counter/counter teleport specials, and quite a few can do parts of their supers as specials.

 

I also noticed that you cannot use W Ultra, red focus and delayed wakeup in Omega. I'm not sure why they would decide against making an intentionally broken mode even more broken.

So, PS4 version of USF4 came out. It's the most disgustingly broken thing I think i've seen in a fighting game port.

Oh and there's a lot more glitches than what was posted in that article. PSN IDs do not appear during online matches and the volume isn't leveled on several voice clips, sound effects, and music.
