mundus Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 CS Litchi's excecution curve is much higher than Rachel's. Come on, let's not kid ourselves. I didn't say her combos was easy, but seriously if you know your BNBs you already at least decent with Litchi cause of what they lead to. Most other characters, BNBs will only get you so far. That said, there are some really advanced tactics with Litchi.
Skye Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 So, I updated the first post, if I missed anything, and I likely did, please tell me. Did a lot of editing in Valkenhayn's shit, looks hype.
Hecatom Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Your "elitism" never gets old man. its not elitism, the truth is that many BB players are panicking over local test changes, and THAT my friend is hillarious and lol at Litchi being worst than rachel as a tager player i say that i preffer to fight against CS litchi than CT rachel tough both fights are :/

And of course they're panicking (even though its the first test) they expected tweaks, they didnt expect to have to relearn their character again haha. I prefer fighting rachel, at least it was pretty to look at when i got raped :v
Skye Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 There's nothing wrong with expressing your feelings about current changes, just don't make a scene.

Halcyone3 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 am i the only 1 that actually expected the changes to be of this magnitude? O_o not all characters need full relearning though so far. Some like tsubaki took a pretty big change, but so far arakune sounds exactly the same, except he deals less damage and gets less curse on block. Could change though, would be pretty lol worthy if they change all the characters drastically by the end of the loketests. Btw, the comment on a possible change to tager's collider was removed from the first post, was it because there was no real change or a temporary removal till we know what the change actually is?
Arvoyea Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I'm alright with relearning characters, really. This keeps the game fresh. But the changes are still out there. I want more than anything "Everyone is on an equal scale as possible" instead of "hey, let's reverse the tier list" or "Let's make Rachel and Tsubaki more buffed but beat some others with the nerf bat!" I hope Noel doesn't get nerf-batted again. I wanna at least sub her TBH.
ZONG_one Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 as i said, it seems that many of the people werent around of the GG days, relearning your character is something very common I wasn't around, but I still learned that this is the case. And it's actually fun to relearn stuff/have new combos to work with, as long as your character isn't ass.
Skye Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 Making everyone equal in quality is boring, and sort of sucks the fun out of competition, an acceptably balanced game should have 6-4 match ups at worst.

When they said balance patch down the line, i thought it'd be minor tweaks. When i heard "BBCS2" then i realized this is more of a CT to CS than minor tweak, and while irrelevant i heard the new chars were getting arcade mode treatment as well?
Hecatom Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 i just read the changes of tager, 6a has super armor i hope that they add more super armor propierties to other moves of him
Blade Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I'm not gonna say I don't gripe...but most things I dislike (as far as changes go), I take in stride anyway. I got no other choice but to gripe anyway. Unfortunately America has zero say in any loke-test...so there you go. If there was any thing I'd say, it'd be this: get rid of forced dash input links in combos (like 66~B for Jin after 623C)...no point to them aside from putting you in a good position mid-combo, most only work on Counter Hit or Fatal Counter, nobody will consistently learn them offline, they're nigh impossible online anyway. Also the A.I. is bloody stupid and teaches you bad habits. Fix the damn training mode so that Counterhits can be set to Random, the A.I. doesn't spam DDs and actually uses RCs...and have a character-recorded action "after block" so that people clearly know what's unsafe on block. And make Heat Gauge settings separate please...I'm tired of the dummy sharing my heat gauge...GG Training Mode was better than this.

Tofu Warrior Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I want more than anything "Everyone is on an equal scale as possible" Trust me, you don't. Like Skye said, the game would be boring and stale. Not every character can be tournament viable, that's just how FGs are, I think not enough people are willing to accept that.
ZONG_one Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 And make Heat Gauge settings separate please...I'm tired of the dummy sharing my heat gauge...GG Training Mode was better than this. lolwut?
Afrikaan Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 i just read the changes of tager, 6a has super armor i hope that they add more super armor propierties to other moves of him Shiiiiit nigga. This is the stuff we're talking about. Solid features like this will make Tager good. Not shit like magnetism gimmicks.
Yukikaze Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Nice editing. What was GGACs worst matchup?

Why would america have any say? And impossible? funny since i can do it offline np. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it gets removed. Don't make arbitrary generalizations.
Afrikaan Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Nice editing. What was GGACs worst matchup? Wasn't it OS v Potemkin? Or Eddie v Potemkin?
whitevoid Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I'm actually glad that if there are going to be large changes. I like learning characters, so long as it's a learning for the better/more interesting.
farranpoison Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Not a Noel player, but really, wtf why are they nerfing her even more. It makes no goddamn sense.
Blade Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Why would america have any say? And impossible? funny since i can do it offline np. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it gets removed. Don't make arbitrary generalizations. Wow, somebody doesn't read posts, I said, "nigh impossible Online". Unfortunately, Online comp is all I tend to get, so even if I can do it Offline IRL, the point is MOOT. As for your question of "why America could have any say"...I think sales figures might have something to do with it. :8/:

Wow where do i begin; the dash "links" as you call them are fine, it actually makes the combos hard, you know so that every character cant be mastered in 1 day in training mode, its fine. Online it sucks though, but online should never even be taken seriously the game is meant to be played offline. Haven't played around that much with the training dummy, but i'm pretty sure if you actually program them to tap a button during a block string, the command will come out when they are out of block. Basically record a character taping 6B for example, then activate it while the dummy is in block stun, the move will come out after they are out of block stun, so you can see if the move was safe or not. They shouldn't get hit if you have blocking set to everything, but i can be wrong.
