Hoi Stark, I think I won't be able to make it. I took my aunt's van to Renton, didn't get your message til I was already back up north of Seattle. Also, tomorrow is looking a bit packed now, and I have to be at the airport at 4. Sorry about that, wish I had seen your message earlier. :(

Shout outs to Bryan for entering Brawl and getting in top 64. Then getting 0-2'd.

So I had a practice session with Landis a couple hours before DacidBro came by...

*Bang hits Mu with 5A/5B x N*

Me: Are you sure he's gonna press a button even at that timing?

Landis: You think I'm joking? He WILL press it.

Me: Man... I don't know...

And he did... and Landis was like "I told you he will do it."

Hey guys... as some of you may have heard, there's a big tournament coming up at the end of the month. It's called . . .

Battle For Seattle

Taking place May 28th & 29th, it will be run as part of a larger convention known as SRGE [seattle Retro Games Expo], at Hotel Deca in Seattle (Near the University district).

This will be a larger event, so I'd like to encourage everyone to come. We haven't had anything of a similar scale since Northwest Majors 2. I'll hope to see Portland & Canada crew as well.

The tournament lineup will be as follows:

(Newer games)

BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 (PS3)

Super Street Fighter 4 (X360)

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (X360)

Mortal Kombat 9 (X360)

Tekken 6 (PS3)

(Classic games)

Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Arcade version, not HDRemix)

Vampire Savior (the game everyone loves but nobody plays -- also arcade version)

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Dreamcast... I think -- maybe PS2? Arcade? Will post correction later)

Because this tournament is part of a larger convention, registration for the convention is required. If you preregister, it's $20 venue to cover your entry into the convention & tournament, and from there you pay on site for the games you want to enter. Next gen titles are $10 entry each, and classic titles are $5 each. The official website where registration takes place is located here: http://www.seattleretro.org/

Direct link to registration is here: http://jetcityretro.org/news/registration.html

We're looking for extra LCD monitors for the event. Anyone who provides them will have their venue fee waived. Contact me via PM on Dustloop or IRC for further details.

The schedule is finalized now and should appear on the website soon. In the meantime, here is a preview version:
