I think we can easily have an in depth civil discussion about this. I'm truly curious because I don't even know what moves are FCs for certain characters much less what they are capable of. What constitutes a "good" FC:

Easy to hit with

FC damage exceeds (preferably by a lot) non-CH damage

FC damage exceeds (preferably by a lot) character's average damage

Meterless (aka no RC needed to combo lol Bang j623B and no Supers sorry jayoku)

(Optional) Has the ability to mixup, aka not a mid hit.

Just based on what I know so far I'd say Carl j.B is the best, but I'd love to be enlightened.

Tager's 2C: Damage is on the low side, but it's probably the easiest to hit with.

Carl jB: Fast, strong

Mu-12 6C: Midscreen poke into 7+k. Amazing punish, screws with alot of midscreen tactics/zoning. Also, a great punish. Not super terrible on block (but not good either).

Makoto 2C: Lol damage. Seriously, lol damage.

Oh wait...

JAYOKU HOTENJIN!

I forgot about Jayoku.... it's just so good I assumed it was some kind of super FC.

worst FC goes to yukikaze... jin's in particular is shitty since you can't really combo off of it effectively.

No fuck all of that Jayoku is great but Arakune's 5C and 2C are godlike because of what they set up. Almost every character gets 100% cursed by getting hit with one of these. Then hotenjin damage is coming whether you like it or not.

oh wow forgot about hotaru. That one is definitely up there.

And I personally dont think Tager 2C is good at all:psyduck:

I mean compare it to Ragna's 2C which is faster, safer on block and even leads to potentially more damage than Tager's 2C.

Arakune's FCs are really good now that I think about it. And you know 2C is multi purpose haha. Either 100% curse or 100% life if they are already cursed. Mad proration.

And I honestly don't think Jayoku is the best in the game, Carl j.B gets that damage without the meter if he's good. What do you even get with FC Jayoku? I thought only 5K was possible (without another jayoku of course 100 meter dear lord) and tons of characters can get 5K off fatal counters.

lol "only 5K" off an invincible reversal that when used with IB can turn blockstrings into absolute jokes. Not to mention Hazama pretty much pisses meter.

Arakune yes. I would say this, but they are too situational to be practically used.

Best FC punish, maybe. Best FC in general? Definitely not.

hotaru and jayoku are pretty much tied for the best.

second to those are tager and ragna 2C.

This, and you can do double jayoku from midscreen as long as you started with 70ish meter (Jyakou meter gain is absurd)

Really, even factoring in meter req, Jayoku is the best in the game. as soon as Haz gets 50 meter you pretty much can not under any circumstance attack him, which lets him zone you for free, and if you try to get gutsy you eat shit and die anyway then he gets all his meter back to do it again.

calamity sword doesn't seem that bad if you have 100% meter.. bit slow on the start up so you can't really reliably use it in ib->reversal kind of situations but leads to 9k or so i think, on ch->rc..

but i think arakune's 5c fc is really good. ragna 2c is also nice, but short range+limited gating options

Well, as much as I appreciate opinions...I could use some advice:

How do you "land" said FCs? DPs like Hotaru and Jayoku are no-brainers, but stuff like Ragna or Jin's 2C? What? When? Haku-men's 6C is also....complicated to use.

Noel's j.4D is also a no brainer, as are Makoto's Ds...dunno about Valk though.

Also I have no idea what to do with Arakune's j.C or 2C FCs.. :gonk:

For Ragna and Jin an obvious situation to use them in is frame traps. Doing something like 2A 2C with Ragna (Jin too, but not as effective since his 2C is slower) will hit mashers. Also when you bait a move and they're stuck in CH state (bait Jayoku, ID, Jin DPs etc.)

Hakumen's 6C can really only be used in a small number of situations that I recall. For instance if you bait Arakune's beam super you can back up and full charge 6C for free.

wut, hotaru has 7-8k combos if you have meter and your somewhat near the corner.

safe on block, jump cancelable on block, breaks a primer, 25 percent heat,

its pretty hard to argue with that.

i would go as far as saying hotaru is one of the best moves in the game....

EDIT: its airunblockable, on whiff its hard to punish because of his frame 1 jD thats active for 9 frames.
