C0R Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) Ummmm. FC 6c>SoD.3>665c>Gold Burst>xxx shenanigans might work. Edited November 19, 2010 by C0R
Silfer Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 It seems that tsurugui wallbounces on corner (normal hit I believe). So, hello tsurugui corner loops :3
FlyingVe Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) ^yep MU +SoD wallbounces near the corner (probably attempted wall bounce) Don't really know how the different level effect this. Also: System Change -gold burst p1 80 and p2 110 Note: might also mean Glod Burst Bonus proration %110 Now midcombo gold bursts are kind of awesome. Edited November 19, 2010 by FlyingVe
Shockna Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Since GG vs BB trolls got the Loketest thread locked, here's the link to keep up with translated changes for people who don't already know it: http://kalfisquine.net/blog/
C0R Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 ^yep MU +SoD wallbounces near the corner (probably attempted wall bounce) I think it's actually + Furu no Tsurugi corner bounds. Corner Bound. Red effect appears when they hit the corner, they fall down like they got hit with a knockdown. Most interesting property is the untechable time buff, most of the moves that corner bounce are untechable in air. So, you can probably pickup with 2b. To my knowledge the corner bound mechanic takes place when an opponent's trajectory lands them near the general corner area, as opposed to blatantly airborne.
TD Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 mu is looking O.D broken. With monstrous oki VASTLY improved with ib nerfs, better, safer sod, and good range in general i'm a little scared at how good she'll be at all ranges. lf dp corner bounds she might be guarenteed a spot in the high tiers.
C0R Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Well, overlooking the changelog it seems everyone has some ability that corner bounds, though it is much more applicable on characters like Litchi and Mu. My general impressions about the loketests is that she will, in the long run, be tighter, safer and cleaner at the cost of damage. Here's to hoping that translates into strength when compared to the rest of the rebuild.
VickyC REmix Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 It feels great to know that after all that work I put into learning her, she's only gotten better! But does the j2C really not knockdown, cause idk what to end my combos with now lol
Aginor Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 End with 6c into reset or drop your combo and go for a reset.
C0R Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 [/theory SoD near the corner might actually give really good frame advantage with the untechable time buff on corner bound, enough to set up a CS2 - speed stien or two even.
Silfer Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 It feels great to know that after all that work I put into learning her, she's only gotten better! But does the j2C really not knockdown, cause idk what to end my combos with now lol I believe that J2C still knockdowns and that the info regarding the move was wrong due to misinformation / lack of character knowledge.
Shockna Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Yeah, the guy posted an update saying "Sorry, j.2C still untechable. Don't know much about Mu" or something to those lines.
TD Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 so the new gameplan is to stay out of the corner when applicable. y'know l said i'd drop mu altogether and just main rach/sub plat come the patch but mu is looking really good. lts like she got all buffs with one important nerf. l dunno if ill sub plat now...
KojinSagara Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I still want to try her for lols but im glad i stuck with mu this long. I can't wait to see the new combos in action. I'm a bit disappointed I dont see more mu's when i go to the bbvlog youtube page but maybe that will change com cs2...
Aginor Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 so the new gameplan is to stay out of the corner when applicable. What are you talking about? You obviously want your opponent to be in the corner. Then you give them less space to work with. @KojinSagara: BBVLog is west coast only or online. Mostly online stuff with a sprinkle of tournament play. TheBBVLog also resides in northern california and uhh....I think the only Mu player in that area is me. I could be wrong but I don't know of any other Mu players around here. lololol I think some people that played Mu will go play other characters. Especially, people that switched to Mu from Rachel in CS1. There's that and the ones who want to play valk, makoto, and/or platinum. I don't think it will change once CS2 comes out either.
Aginor Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 but she LOOKS stronger midscreen. Doesn't mean she is. I'm interested about how bullshit her corner oki will be. lolol Especially with faster steins.
FlyingVe Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 ^^ agreed. Also, while Mu does appear to be buffed, she wasn't a hugely powerful character in CS1. So even with her buffs she could still very well be a mid-tier. We'll have to wait and see the final game before making any sweeping judgments about her power level.
TD Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 anyway so do her charged steins come out regardless too? like can they actually be used now. that would be nice.
FlyingVe Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 I don't think it's regardless, just guaranteed sooner. But yeah, charged steins should be much better.
C0R Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I'm hoping that the stein speed increase doesn't screw with all of our setups. This was never really discussed so I don't know if people just never thought of it or if it was proved to not be a problem. I mean x setup that forces block on neutral tech via stein hit could now whiff on the invulnerability frames due to the stein being too fast. Then again: Mu: -She will be focused on guard primer breaking, it will be easier for her to go Oki and set-play this time Though we may have to relearn a few setups, as a general rule it seems she's designed for them to be stronger.
TD Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 l think it'll be fine. does anyone know how many plus frames both lasers are on block right now? hopefully wakeup laser is still intact
GenoWhirl Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 +☆5C、2Cの発生が早く Well, 5C and 2C are faster supposedly -☆SGのレーザーの出が遅く -☆SG溜めでガープラが削れなくなった Some nerf to steins gunner
FlyingVe Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 Well, the sped up pokes confirm what we all throught. Faster 2C and 5C are pretty huge though. I agree with tempest I want to know what the nerfs really are. Can anybody translate for us? The google translate version was even more useless than usual.
