Edit: First nerf is laser from the stein comes out slower. Second nerf is something about guard break or guard primers on charged steins or having a bunch of steins? FlyingVe Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 Seems like a weird change given that mori wanted her to be better at Guard Crush. That's actually a fairly big nerf if it's true, as now people don't have a great reason to try and avoid the lasers.
TD Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 l want to include lasers in combos like ... 2b 5c 6c 5d something (laser hits) something lt would be so hot if lasers juggled. even totsuks lasers dont do juggle unless you combo like right after. well at least mu looks like a very scary midranger now. perhaps with faster 5c we'll get 5c 6c gatling too.

Coupled with the increase in stein placement speed, they're probably still faster at blasting then 1.02. But ouch. Her pressure took a hit. Her damage will go up, there's pretty much no question of that with all the added links and new combo mechanics, as she didn't lose any old ones. Hell you might even be able to combo with charged steins mid-combo (6c > 5d > 214d > j2d charged > jc.j2c > 2b > 5b > (stein hit) > 5c > xxx) or something. But ouch. Her pressure took a hit. He said she would me 'more focused' around it, not that it would be her bnb. She better get some ability in it back though.

With their large blockstun, there's still potential for setups with them, right? But yeah, wait until final release, etc j2C untechable means we should still get decent damage, which makes me happy. I'm getting very optimistic about CS2 Mu.
FlyingVe Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 The problem isn't the guard crush, it's now that people have no reason to try and dodge the lasers. This really hurts the lasers uses as a zoning tool.

When you couple some of her new tools with charged steins, I can see it being very very deadly to have steins not be rebalanced. I mean Arrows of Heaven is good now, like really good, with so many followup options. Depending on it's peroration, it might even be included in some of her higher damage combos. With the addition of that as a reliable zoning tool, I think her overall zoning output will remain the same. And even if stein hits are slower, faster steins means faster special laser, which is a huge buff. I think all the small things added up too fast.

I use mostly 236A and D to zone anyway, so the faster steins and 236A buff make the charged laser nerf not bother me that much.

Wasn't the post claiming j.2C was techable already confirmed as a misunderstanding of Mu mechanics on Ushi's part? >_> If not, then I'm certainly glad that we're not losing it.

I think it was needed though otherwise pulsr's lol7primer setup would still be there. Kind of bullshit if you ask me. I think it's evened out by the fact that after you defensive burst, primers are rounded DOWN anyways. We still have sod so I don't find it that big of a deal.

We still have sod so I don't find it that big of a deal. well thats a shame i just made a couple of setups involving charged lazer now i might have to go to back to the drawing board n change my play style again or better just wait for CS2 to comes out lol
