-Ladon- Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I think it's good for close ranged rushdown characters, considering how skewered a lot of matchups are for a close-ranged character to get in on a zoning character, since if you force mixup barrier jump is still too good.
STenSatsu Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Pretty sure you can still barrier moves categorized as air 'unblockable' in BB so I don't think it is that big a deal. You'll just have to be more careful in the air which is fine. People might actually run out of barrier now if they don't watch out instead of just when they hit 1 primer lol. Mu will probably get a different set of combos, kind of like what they did with litchi.

Well, I think Hakumen and Tager would need something for their fights against zoners. Tager's always had a problem making people actually be afraid of jumping out. Bang already has that covered eight different ways, and the zoners don't need it.
STenSatsu Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 lol, 5B? That doesn't make as much sense as 5C. For this to work though they'd have to give something like that to all the characters. It looks like giing a good air unblockable normal to all characters might be what they have in mind since like every character in the first post has gotten one lol.
PhoenonX Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Tsubaki gonna be godlike 5A into Astral Actually, um...can't she already do that if she has 1 Charge?
Black Onslaught Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 there goes BB's already laughable non-Litchi/Bang oki with techable sweeps seems like they want to stop people from jumping of blockstrings, but 5B being air unblockable with it's already ghetto ass hitbox is pretty gerb
Devdan Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Mu will probably get a different set of combos, kind of like what they did with litchi. But, but, but Mu's combos clicked! They're the only combos that have ever clicked with me! I don't want them messing with the only character I've felt like I was pretty good with in any fighting game. (No complaining!...)
farranpoison Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 BB has gone from little oki to no oki at all. Next thing you'll see is that Rags 22C and Litchi's DD oki are gone.
Silfer Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I may understand for other characters...but 3C techable for MU :S tks god its just a loketest...
Skye Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Arakune's 3c is going to end up being the only one that's untechable, but then again his is completely useless.
Gil Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Rachel's 3c is still untechable, right or did I miss that change? If it's techable, there goes frog combos. Well, there's still 2b.
Mumm-Ra Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Arakune dealing less and less damage. I like where this is going.
HiagoX Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I think you're forgetting Such a godly pickup.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 the guy in that picture looks like he rapes keebler elves.
Jewdo Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Tager - 5C air unblockable (can be barrier guarded; author thinks Tager is getting too strong) Rachel - 6A still strong (how very specific) Lambda - Crescent has a stricter multiplier
mAc Chaos Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Tager - 5C air unblockable (can be barrier guarded; author thinks Tager is getting too strong) Axis is psychic.
No Limitz Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Lambda - Crescent has a stricter multiplier Do you mean it gets prorated to hell? And is it the loop or the move overall?
Gil Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Rachel - 6A still strong (how very specific) wth does that even mean. xD
Yaya Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 LET'S BE S TIER TOGETHER NII-SAN! WAIT WHY ARE YOU HEADING DOWN, COME BAACK!
Jewdo Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Makoto - Big Bang damage has been reduced. wth does that even mean. xD In the most literal sense, I suppose it means that 6A is still good. The author doesn't specify any further. Do you mean it gets prorated to hell? And is it the loop or the move overall? I believe that's what it refers to, yes.
Crazy Bat Guy Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 wth does that even mean. xD It probably has the same properties in the last loketest, might even be back to CT version... maybe...
Vulcan422 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 the guy in that picture looks like he rapes keebler elves. It's official: Dacid is a serial rapist.
farranpoison Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Makoto - Big Bang damage has been reduced. WTF WHY
dragontamer Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I guess Jin and Ragna's 5C buffs could be Arc's answer to jump out barrier that people always hate? A 3 frame trap is the correct answer, and those exist already. Also, lows prevent players from jumping barrier: you can't hold up and block low at the same time. Jump back + barrier will stop air-unblockable Ragna 5B and Jin's 5C, so I doubt it.
