TD Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 ln jap are was top tier. Zoning is gdlk, can literally "wait" for ppl to run into crap, 9k into 90% recurse, ohhhhh boy when l saw Souji in action... l saw six of his vids against 3 ppl. 2 mins each, At LEAST 1 perfect per match. His potential was fully unlocked over there. lt was funny how he murdered everybody
Manta Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Now that Guard Crushing has some serious implications (Like being dragged across the whole screen with GETB...lol), do any of the cast actually have any safe guard breakers actually worth using yet? Only person I can think of offhand who can safely and usefully break primers is Lambda.

Now that Guard Crushing has some serious implications (Like being dragged across the whole screen with GETB...lol), do any of the cast actually have any safe guard breakers actually worth using yet? Only person I can think of offhand who can safely and usefully break primers is Lambda. I made up a mid-screen blockstring with Arakune that can break Tager's guard and still deal 6k to him (9k+ to everyone else) with jC/2C starter if you start it will full curse, works on Barrier and IB, you actually get it worse if you try to barrier your last primer since you still get guard crushed and you get into danger state. But the thing is very iffy, I might work on it later. And Arakune can break guard pretty easily in the corner. Both only work on Fever, of course.
Klaige Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Anyone who thinks CS1 arakune is still mid tier is straight up lying to themselves.

Ragna actualy have good G.crusher moves, not as safe/good as lambda G.crushers, but they are a "ok" for G.crushers... he sure will get good things from this change, especialy in B.K mode....
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 And thats how Souji won SBO. Stop posting Tempest. MikeZ got 66 consecutive wins with Tager in CT, his full potential was unlocked in Socal.
FunkyP Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 LOL at all the Kune crying "Oh noes my character isn't broke anymore, i don't know how to not play lame!1!!11" CS2 also further proving that blocking is for fags and you should just mash harder.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 kune's aren't crying numnuts. kune's are confused...jump start-up nerf sucks...rachel j.2C sucks...this game su--OH MY!
LordSpectreX Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Anyone who thinks CS1 arakune is still mid tier is straight up lying to themselves. Arakune is mid tier. A- at most. His matchups are terrible and he has no matchups 6.5 in his favour, and only 1 or 2 6.0s. The only reason why people think Ara is high tier is because most players have little matchup experience against him, and so every idiot falls for his gimmicky tricks, and then don't block his mixup. Seriously. 19/20 players I face fall for 2a 6a 5D, and some of those are players who I know are much better than me.
Manta Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Well, at least Bang doesn't get buffed by the better guard crushes, since if you get guard crushed by him then you should take the game back to the shop you got it from. So that's a nerf to him by default. Nivana can shatter a few primers and Tager can now use command throws on guard crushes, which is awesome. Even a free B buster seems like a good use of the crush. I still don't expect we'll see any that don't involve a green burst beforehand however.

FormerlyUnknown Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 2a goes into 6a cleanly? everytime i try to do a high after a low he stands there like an idiot =O off to training mode!~

At least I know Lambda does for certain, but from what I've seen, Mu's little bombs are really scary, even/especially for Tager. But for sure, green bursts will be the #1 reason why you are guard crushed. I'm fairly sure that's the idea.
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 kune's aren't crying numnuts. kune's are confused...jump start-up nerf sucks...rachel j.2C sucks...this game su--OH MY! I'm not either, it's quite simple. Slow jump isn't good for an aerial character. f of g is fucking great now. We still have curse combos without loops, just take one rep from every loop he has and end it with a j.c loop. We can't win the match off of a lucky curse plus mix up, very appropriate. My verdict, he's still good but overall worse, now if his overheads were a bit faster, I'd be cool with him as is, but he's likely going to receive some more changes by the 9th of December. And it's pretty easy for someone who don't know the slightest thing about Arakune to call him broke, because you don't know how to fight him, he's mid tier. A- at best, if his precurse game wasn't trash, then that would change everything.
Devdan Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 The Tager's I fight (online only!) seem like they hardly block, they should sledge, sledge, sledge; and with the changes they'll actually use the followup, and since it always lags when you fight Tager (seriously, is every Tager player a lag spiker, or can the game not handle the size of his sprite) I expect to eat a lot of FC into 720 in CSII.
eirei Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 I expect to eat a lot of FC into 720 in CSII. That's not how FCs work.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 You forgot how kune's J. D doesn't trade... Its been like that since CS1 so it was no need to mention it, I am glad it doesn't trade. LAWL ps3 player's on wireless or not so great connections in general. @ skye: I'll ask you this: what the fuck is ASW trying to do? please answer that.
Devdan Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 That's not how FCs work. We're only in loketest 3. Wait for it.
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 That's not how FCs work. It is when you play online. @ skye: I'll ask you this: what the fuck is ASW trying to do? please answer that. Nigga I don't know, I think they're just drawing straws and hoping for the best.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I almost want to sig that skye. ASW might as well just play roulette when it comes to changes. give tager's 6A stagger so I can lol and tell people to tech and pray.
Spirit Juice Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Blocking Arakune curse mix up is saying like you can block Millia's mix up in GGAC.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 SJ I can block the fuzzy's and the cross up teleport's but I always lose to overheads.
firesoul1 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Its been like that since CS1 so it was no need to mention it, I am glad it doesn't trade. yeah well it traded back in CT..
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I've seen people block a full Kune curse mixup. One of our local players can do that, he like our equivalent to Coopa, Tager player too. Arakune's overheads don't get any faster in curse, it's really a case of being tedious and hoping they fuck up blocking, we have our instant j.c, but that's it. And really my concern for his overheads is precurse, they're so slow only a netplayer can't react to them, and instant j.c is useless precurse.
TD Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Stop posting Tempest. MikeZ got 66 consecutive wins with Tager in CT, his full potential was unlocked in Socal. MikeZ won in america which severely nerfs your statement there.
