FunkyP Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 You can block Millia's options too, the fact still remains he has a fuckton of options while keeping you in blockstun. If you're letting people block all your shit use better options because he has them.
A.X.I.S. Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 MikeZ won in america which severely nerfs your statement there. -facepalms- your missing the point. also this is not a GG discussion. stop it.
Leaf Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 SJ I can block the fuzzy's and the cross up teleport's but I always lose to overheads. same, except I lose to the pink grabs
mAc Chaos Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Just because people can block the curse mixup doesn't mean it's not ridiculous. People have beaten Nu before too. So what?
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 He shouldn't have mix up in curse? Curse gain has been nerfed. Curse damage have been nerfed. So, what? Mix up now? Fucking scrubs need to learn how to block before they go wishing Arakune's only saving grace becomes useless.
firesoul1 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Just because people can block the curse mixup doesn't mean it's not ridiculous. People have beaten Nu before too. So what? Does it count if voodoo magic was involved?
mAc Chaos Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I didn't say his mixup should be nerfed. I can actually block it pretty well, but that's just me and it's just against random online Aras, so you can't really conclude anything from that. It's more like, since you're stuck in it for so long, it's inevitable you'll mess up once. And for Ara to win all you have to do is mess up once. :P
TD Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 -facepalms- your missing the point. also this is not a GG discussion. stop it. What? What am l missing? What? Everyone keeps screaming precurse ara isnt broken but forgetting about his zoning. It only takes 10 seconds to get a fever mode, 15 secs to screw up, 20 secs of 9k, 5 secs of 90% recurse, and 2 secs of fever again, repeat. ln that amost-minute, ara has not spent NEARLY enough time in precurse mode. broke stuff there.
LordSpectreX Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Except Nu was overpowered all the time. Arakune is OP for 16 hard to get seconds. And besides, even if you can't block well just keep jumping back and guarding. We have to spend half of the time just getting you locked down so we can mix you up. But no, people just sit there, being thrown by purple grabs. Stay free America. I do agree with SJ those overhead and low bugs are too good.

I am just gonna assume this is trolling because if it takes you 10 seconds to get cursed then your terrible at this game and should stop posting.
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 There's a high possibility they would fuck up blocking, nothing inevitable. Besides, I'd just like for his precurse to be not trash.
LordSpectreX Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Also, troll someplace else howling. Lol.
FormerlyUnknown Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 you don't really have to last through all of the mix-up unless you're pro tourney status =p i mean people seem to think kune's curse is unlimited and the moment you get hit you're eating 8-12k. the longer you block/run away the less curse he's gonna have, the less damage he's able to do. especially now that he's been nerfed. If you're able to block properly you're only going to get a max of 5k damage, that's just like messing up against any other opponent and getting BnB'd, only it took kune half the match to get to that point and now he has to restart with his crappy precurse. in the eternal words of firekid2 on fighting games: "it's your fault for getting hit" o3o ~words from a scrub kune~ edit: ninja'd like 3 times there o3o but it's nice to contribute.

FunkyP Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 "Better options" Like what? Prey tell. Something else that wasn't what didn't work lol Most of the mixups options in this game outside of Litchi and Carl are pretty fucking weak, Arakune is not one of the weaker ones.
TD Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I am just gonna assume this is trolling because if it takes you 10 seconds to get cursed then your terrible at this game and should stop posting. This. Is. In. JAPAN. There's about two people in America who can even do something like that. Ara does not need to mix up. he can zone to a 10 second death with just a little space. A simple backdash in the beginning sets the entire round. Assuming we're talking about actual competent players here. l've seen it happen. >_>

That has nothing to do with a player being able to block the whole thing. Don't know about you or your scene Funky, but I play people who actually know how to block. Tempest, shut the fuck up.
firesoul1 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 "it's your fault for getting hit" But then its our fault when we come a knockin so later we get nerfed.

Don't know about you or your scene Funky, but I play people who actually know how to block. Tempest, shut the fuck up. Forcing someone to block is advantageous for you, just like Millia was. Regardless if they blocked everything you are still on the offensive. On other characters guessing right on a mixup will completely change the momentum of the match. If the oppponent blocks all your shit, press on the advantage. edit: or instead of arguing Imma go ahead and forget this thread, Noel sucks as is so I don't need to look in here anymore.
TD Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 @Skye - Why? You mad again? You always try to find something that makes that piece of shit of a character balanced. ln CT you said he was hard to play; even in competitive play Ara may have been harder but was still autopilot (see: doitsu mura). Now his 11k is perfectly balanced because he has a precurse mode? lol. Even when you're serious you can't be taken serious.

But tell me, how am I to approach someone who can block all my attacks on reaction? @Skye - Why? You mad again? Go and learn the game, then I'll explain everything to you, because you don't know the first thing about Arakune besides getting your ass whooped by him.
Spirit Juice Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 The reason why I compared curse mix up and Millia's mix up is because you're forced to make guesses during unfavorable situations.
Skye Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Oh his curse mix up is great, no one is arguing that. But I see absolute no reason why it deserves a nerf, especially since curse gain and damage is reduced.
