[CS2] Platinum the Trinity Actual Discussion Thread The First

Pretty much the play style that I'm referring to with Platinum is the style that I've seen most tourney Faust players use. In NCI, I encountered a Faust player who pretty much locked me down in the corner, mind you NorCal doesn't have many Faust players so I had no idea what he was doing but I pretty much was locked down. He tossed items into the air, zoned me with pokes and made sure he kept me where he wanted me to be.sure He got lucky with all of the items he tossed but it was pure chaos on the screen. Platinum has the same abilities, but just a bit toned down. People are complaining that BB should be more like GG, well here she is.

Yeah, Platinum does have some stuffs similar to faust stuffs but not as strong as his like you said. Platinum has the potential to be very good at attacking people but maybe not defending (Like Faust Aswell ) because she lacks defensive moves. I think her bat and maybe Cure Dot Typhoon could be good for reversal/defensive moves. All of her stuffs are good enough to do good amount of damage, mixs ups, pressure and etc. Seriously, she has too much things that she can do.

Is it known how Cure Dot Typhoon acts when blocked? I feel like I saw it "bounce" in a loketest video (as in, when it was blocked, Platinum got sent in the opposite direction), but I can't remember :/

Yeah I assumed so, its just the push back the hits. Else it would be broken against some characters (until you try it on hazama and get distortioned) haha

No, but this also isn't the first time we've had similar distortions to guilty gear counterparts. Just her Cure Dot Typhoon being [a bit more] similar wouldn't make her a May clone.

I don't really have any problems with Cure Dot Typhoon as it is now, gotta get my hands on it to test for sure. At the least, minimum damage seems nice.
