2:57, 5k combo midscreen, 5 stars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V75utP1OAsU

edit: 5 stars

I was just about to post that video.

That video has more swag combos in it. NOW I'm hype, it felt like you had to mash special moves together to get damage out. I always loved how hakumen used his normals to extend his combos, and thus increase the amount of special moves he can use in combos, which always added more damage to his combos and leaves him with sufficient star count.

Different combo system, yet still stay true to the character, this is what I was hoping for. Also they're not looking so easy now :P

EDIT: Also good to note, that kishin can be activated in the*air, and dat 6 heroes theme... I need that song...

I think he means if it gets blocked.

Wait, what? I'm still clueless.

Interesting. Spark or anyone, any guesses why this worked?

^Probably because Kishuu made Haku close as possible, either that or we can still 2A tick throw, but have to be really close like in that video.

Also, maybe its at that range and corner only so the opponent won't get pushed back. We'll probably find more setups later once we get to play it or the JP players does it on video.

Cross up, anti-anti-air, pressure tool, combo ender and maybe for some movement? I've heard it can be used for cross ups but haven't seen any done yet, I've seen a Haku whiff Hazama's DP kick by timing Agito properly though I forgot if he got to punish Haz with a falling jump move, there are a lot of videos where you see Hakus just spamming IAD Agito then going into jB, j2C to keep pressure and I'm just curious if using step Agito can substitute as an anti-low Kishuu.

That 5k combo was quite ballin'. I figured Haku's trademark damage would come back as combo theory improves. Looking pretty solid so far (aside from counters being a train wreck, but I can deal). Hype levels... Rising...

Has anyone figured out why CH 3C > 5C works? More untech time/different property on CH 3C or (god I hope this is the case) faster 5C?

Depends if it still goes through projectiles like Kishuu

Probably not, I just meant it for something like vs. Hazama where they try to 3C you if they see you spamming Kishuu to go through the chains. Like a 50/50 option between killing lows or going through projectiles/high moves when closing in on the opponent.

CH 3C does have a lot more untechable time now. From what I know, any 6B CH combos can work with a 3C CH starter as well. Also, I was writing out possible 8 mags 6B CH/3C CH combos and a string of starter>5C>Zantetsu(1)>CT>2C>jB>j2A>jc j2C>Tsubaki does 6.1-6.4k anywhere on the map.

If someone blocks your Agito, what do you follow up with in order to land saftely, or stay on the offensive? j.B or j.2C to follow up after Agito to keep the pressure on.

Makoto had time to put frames into some attack, otherwise it wouldn't be a counter right? My tick throws were usually never counters. Maybe he just delayed the counter a tad more than usual.

Dang, It's crazy to see midscreen damage like that, even with 5C. I understand that he used like 5 stars but considering how much faster he builds it up, that's looking good. I doubt that you can get a similar combo off a weak starter, though, nor do I think it would be worth the meter at that point.

But I really like how it's looking. i was feeling really down about Haku up until today, but now I have enough hype to go around. Besides, even if it did less damage it's still pretty sexy. I always had a problem relaunching people midscreen in extend, but I feel like I might actually have an easier time with the new combos. I guess we'll all see for ourselves once we get a chance to play.

^That's actually with a CH 3C or CH 6B starter, then 5C (reread his post). A raw 5C would be even more and possible allow for something longer/better since it's a better starter.

Based off the stream I'm watching, kishuu might have gotten a projectile invincibility buff. By increasing the amount of frames kishuu is invincible to bursts, I've yet to see anything with full projectile properties beat kishuu regardless of spacing and timing. Making him even more burst safe than before. I believe it's chibaken I'm watching and he's been blowing people up with mostly kishuu for mixup and burst punishes.

Also kishuu seems to get right through Nu's swords, regardless of spacing and timing.

This move looks even stronger than it's CSEX counter part, coupled with the fast that the move was already fast, now it moves even faster on this new sped up game engine.

EDIT: Speculation at this point, but I think 5d's activation got sped up as well. While not frame one active, I think it takes less than 5 to be active now.

EDIT 2: Carl's Rhapsody of memories at point blank range on hakumen was not caught by 2d, and no he wasn't blocking, 2d simply did not grab him for the entire duration of the super. I wonder if this'll be the case with other projectile supers.

EDIT 3: I'm retarded its not rhapsody that carl did, it's the other super Laetabillis Cantata, the gear super. My bad. I'm going to bed.

FYI, nu13 is looking strong, I see why they left Hakumen with so many of his strong csex tools. Nu13 would've been another uphill matchup, since she's literally back now.

Well shit.

Hope Tager-bros don't have as much trouble as CT :(

Outside of combos, is Agito mainly being used for pressure and crossups? I rarely see anyone get a hit with it and I've yet to see someone followup beyond getting some pressure out of it. Thinking about it, it might be pretty dumb if you could combo for just 1 star.

Haku combos looking like Slayer combos now, lol. Damage-wise as well.

Sk-Minion, that was a 5c starter as well, not 3c. I think starter matters less now since a bunch of moves got buffed P1 to 100. You could likely get that 5k or close off many other normals now.

I don't know. She is still missing her 4D jump cancel and that amazing 2C.

From this video , it looks like Nu's 5D can still stuff it.

I don't know if its just that Kishuu became faster so it's affecting the projectile invul or if Nu's 5D got slower but at like 11s later, it looked like Haku easily went through her 5D though it was at a closer range.

Yea I saw that a few times, but it mostly just goes right through her swords. How are you feeling about nu13?

it can be combod out of into good 1 star damage on counter hit, which is a realistic occurrence if your oponent is too AA happy. since it doesn't have head property it can beat careless AAs pretty hard

Also, Agito during Mugen causes floor bounce so maybe an Agito Mugen corner loop in the near future?

EDIT: I'M GLAD THIS CAME UP cause i never posted this massive video to the thread and it has lots of hakumen. anyway this round pretty much shows just the AA Agito stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFdJBQfyFKg

Did the Haku just go through the burst with Hotaru trying to do Tsubaki>Hotaru? I wonder if we can punish after the Hotaru, considering the recovery for the move is much longer this game.
