entnervt Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 With funniest I chose the wrong word, sry. CP Hakumen is the most satisfying Hakumen IMO. I really enjoy playing him. And I hate the english voiceover.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I just love the fact that the commentator doesn't know what to say, lol. I know right, he was "Mugen!?" and then he won the match. I forget, which colors are Berserker again? Also, english Haku is darth vader. All arguments are invalidated.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 CP he has a legit English dub voice now. But I only listen to him in Japanese, especially since I know what he's saying in Japanese. Because I watch too much anime.
g1Gilgamesh Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I forget, which colors are Berserker again? 13, if memory serves.
TheYukianesa-01 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) Why did everyone decide to play him? What drew you to Hakumen, to be more precise with my question. His drive douchebaggery. Makes him perfect to punish people with that have a habit of poking out of my Jin/Kagura/Terumi. ALSO: did everybody start picking colors yet? Mine was easy as usual. Or do you have a favorite color from the other games? I use Famitsu colors for all my chars, but besides that, I always use the black hair, purple and white armor and red sword palette for Haku. Used it in CS too but the sword was normal in that one. I forget, which colors are Berserker again? 13, if memory serves. Yep. Here's Berserker and here's the list. dioxideUniversa Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Also, english Haku is darth vader. All arguments are invalidated. no, he pretty much sounds just like a 90s power rangers villain. sometimes his voice actor is alright, but a lot of the time he's sorely over-acted
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 But that's what makes him hilarious Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kriegdrache Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 part of me hates to point this out but at the same time cannot resist wishing for a photoshopped hakumen with comedically large & garish shoes i have always found that line less-than-sensical and pretty obnoxious, but ymmv you people and your non sexy-jp-hakus When I played CT I had the hugest boner for Umineko, so Haku shouting this line made me imagine it was armoured Battler. "SAY IT IN RED BATTLER" /Yukikaze'd
OmnixTSC Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 ALSO: did everybody start picking colors yet? Mine was easy as usual. Or do you have a favorite color from the other games? I use #3 the most, but I use #9 when I want to mess around and #13 when people want me to act like a boss character (stream monsters too good). I'm curious. Do any of you frequently play on a stream or record your matches and upload them? I'd like to see the different playstyles we all have as well as how each of us can deal with certain MUs or situations. If we start collaborating more (as I don't feel we do this enough), we could perhaps adjust our individual styles and remedy our faults. Truth be told, I'm really asking b/c I rarely see Hakumen played in the states. I only really get to see Vineeth play, with the rare occasions where I see Spark being the only other occurrences.
Moblin Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) I posted a couple of my matches from a stream in the Critique thread. I've gotten a lot better since then, even winning grand finals of the latest tournament which was also streamed in my local scene. We try to stream BB every Friday night. The thing about the CO scene is tho, we're all not very good. We slowly get better but the average level of play is simply not on par with the east coast or west coast scenes from what I've seen. However, we are all getting better at a good pace I feel. If anyone watches the stream and wants to give input about the weaknesses of the scene overall, go for it. It can only help us. http://www.twitch.tv/strikefirstco/profile/pastBroadcasts The BB tournament we had two weeks ago is the latest broadcast as of this post Edited December 1, 2013 by Moblin

Raziul Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Hakumen should be top tier for the simple fact that he's the only character easily capable of multiple astral attempts in a single round. Nobody ever expects the 2nd Astral.
Sophisticat Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Lmao, that's true. I've had that work a couple times already. Gotta love his meter gain.

Raziul Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Terumi? I've never actually had Terumi try to astral me more than once. The few times someone has been reckless enough to try getting it off outside of a combo, I'm able to punish them horrifically for it. Edited December 4, 2013 by Raziul
mAc Chaos Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 GGs Raziul. Now I must see if Omni shows up before 3 AM. :V
mAc Chaos Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 GGs Omnix. That should be your first taste of other Haku styles. Man, Agito is really a nuisance. Nothing major, but still.
OmnixTSC Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 GGs Omnix. That should be your first taste of other Haku styles. Man, Agito is really a nuisance. Nothing major, but still. GGs, Mac. You were catching me off guard with a good bit of stuff. We should play again some time after NEC. Also, agito is definitely a nuisance.
OmnixTSC Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Are you going to NEC? Yeah, I'll be there. Going mostly for P4A, but I'm excited for BB as well.
mAc Chaos Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Arghhh. Why do so many people have to be going.
Raziul Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 GGs Raziul. Now I must see if Omni shows up before 3 AM. :V 2A whiffing against 6B makes me cry. I'm going to have to abuse it as much as possible now.
mAc Chaos Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I don't know why but my 3C 6B mixup works so well on people. But I can barely ever throw them anymore. But then against other Hakumen, I block the 3C 6B stuff like a champ and eat throws like its lunch.
Raziul Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 You shutdown all my attacks with those D counters. I was too nervous to try much else. I'd barely get enough stars to attempt a proper answer before you'd have me doomed by those 2A > Grab traps.
