You can also use hop Hotaru after the 5A if they're prone to air teching back or neutral.

Grab into 5C to a disconnected Zantetsu works far well than it should on most people. A lot of people have a tendency to down back at the first chance and it just falls on their head. Scrub tactics go!

That also works when people try to tech away from you midscreen; Zantetsu confirmed for OP tier :P

Its the 5A in the loop, he intentionally dropped it for the 5C reset.

I've been doing that loop for so long that I've blanked out on noticing that.

Have you ever tried Kishuu on the second 5A of the loop? Protects you from falling jump attacks, sometimes crosses them up, and makes really tight throw set-ups if they neutral tech.

i thought Film already proved Zantetsu is unblockable in the race to 20 Dan on console :P

I've got an Arakune friend I fight a lot, and none of this really works on him because he just double jumps away in the air out of range. I need to get in the habit of using the 5A j.B Agito Option on him now that i can consistently do multiple loops in netplay.

If you really want to mess with people who aren't likely to try and mash you out. Try springing a Zantetsu on them after 2B. I think most people who fight me consistently are conditioned to expect 5C Zan now.

People hate Haku for his damage and Drive. I think I hate fighting him because he can special cancel damn near everything at any given moment.

If you have stars to burn, win a round with a completely blockable Shippu, then Kishuu cancel into a grab or 2/3C. There's no way that can't make people salty. You're just like, "God damn it, why the hell can he do that crap!?"

The funny part is when I accidentally Shippu and people just let me charge it, and I'm like "Ok, I hope you like this unblockable 5K you about to get"

Does anyone even know its unblockable fully charged by now?

I think I've hit with a full charge Shippu maybe twice in my entire time playing CP. The smaller hit box and long charge time just about killed all my old shenanigans from Extend.

One thing that seems to work really well and is almost just as good though has been 6C > Shippu. 4.5k so easy. Get the spacing down so that they're in the corner and you're at max 6C range, and a lot of people will think to either try to roll out or jump, and they get hit with an air unblockable or caught mid roll. The bonus is that if they block it instead, you can move forward to the shippu kishuu cancel gimmick with out missing a beat!

Question, how many people, in your hakumen experience, delay tech and how many hold to tech out immediately at the end of Hakumen's combos?

The 5a, j.b > Agito ending option is godlike on people who just hold to tech immediately.  It's almost a true 50/50 between airdashing in with j.b, (which is confirmable into loop for 2.3kish, or unreactable OD combo starter) or land > 2b some other low into more mixup if they block.

But if they just delay tech you airdash right over them and just put yourself in the corner and they get a pressure-free tech.

Is Haku really going to go down to mid tier in 1.1?

Also the level of cheese strat discussion is way too high lol

If you just have to stop your momentum, you can always j.D to stop yourself from flying over them. If your opponent is late teching in some situations, he/she won't be able to punish you and the situation will be reset to neutral.

everyone mashes tech against me on netplay (its all ive got...don't laugh ;w;) so i dont really get late techers.  but smart people late tech a lot. j.D is good here like Omnix said.

When someone late techs you, start throwing in some delayed 2Bs to pick them up. At least if it's not after Agito. Eventually you'll look forward to them giving you a chance for free damage, and it turns into a mindgame.

I've had a few opponents that have tried it, and I'll usually end up having 2A or 2B pass through them, at which point I'll usually reflex into 2D.

5A j.B Agito catches back rolls too. Which a lot of my opponents are incredibly fond of doing.

Those cheese strats gave me my awesome comeback yo.

Well, I've been losing to one scrub after another. It's getting bad guys. 7 matches 2 victories.

It's crazy hard getting back in the game man. And on a stick no less...

Lot of fucking Terumi's out there too...

How to beat every Terumi player.

Step 1 - Block everything, pretty easy to be honest. Just up back if you see his stupid command grab.

Step 2 - Look for 6C or his little green fist rush move. Both are negative on block.

Step 3 - 3C

Repeat until victorious.

Pretty much all Terumi's online spam 6C...its almost like they want me to kill them faster.

Even worse is that they always do it with no meter to RC. Terumi newbies are a group of masochists with no rhyme or reason.

I guess I just haven't touched up on most of the cast, to see what each one's weakness is. Because as Hakumen, or Azrael, I'm just getting my ass handed to me out there. Well less so with Hakumen. But, you know.

This implies that most of them even know what a RC is.
