Good players post stupid shit like this because bad players post stupid information, and don't think this forum is worth treating with respect. Sounds to me like all we need are some good players who don't post like bad players, and let it trickle down from there. Can we even do that? Is Dustloop worth saving?

I don't even get it. I've supported you when you ripped into people with accurate information and all the unnecessary obscenity in the world (yeah I told you to calm it down a bit, but I supported the idea). I'm not flagging your stupid posts as dumb shit because you swear, I'm flagging it because it's dumb shit that never needed to be posted. The whole thread was just a bunch of retards ripping into blade, the absolute easiest of targets ever devised, and you expect me to consider that fucking quality posting? More like trollfest. I have no ill will or any negative feelings towards anyone on WC. I like Dacidbro. I met him and he's cool. I haven't met spirit juice but I have no problem with him. I don't believe EC or WC are better then the other and guess what? I don't even care! Turning my attention to Circ, yes, I have pretty much given up on dustloop. That's why the majority of my posts involve trolling WC. I'm pretty sure SJ did too which is why whenever I troll, he trolls right back. I made this account cause I saw bad information and I just wanted to correct it. Then like when I couldn't do that without explaining myself and explaining hu they're wrong everytime I got annoyed. THEN when people just continued arguing cause their local blah blah blah I just decided fuck it and I'm one of those guys that just curses for no reason. Like sure all my trolling and other peoples trolling are really dumb. So is some of the shit I see involving gameplay. If you're gonna ban people or posting dumb shot about X, might as well ban them for posting dumb shot in he gameplay forums that can actually hurt when random scrubs believe it. Also one of the biggest problems is Blade. Again, I have no feelings towards the guy. I'm sure he's a great person and he's done a lot for the story translations for anime games. But he continues posting dumb shot about gameplay that causes a lot of trolling, the majority not even from me. I dont want him banned because I hate him or hea dumb. I want him banned because I genuinely feel dustloop would have either smarter or less dumb discussion involving blazblue gameplay. Sure u can be the bigger guy and not troll him and just try to help. Tell hat tithe over 20 people that won't. Tryin to start some utopian society on a forum is the last place, what with the anonymous dickwad theory and all that.

When a community sees someone as ill-informed as Blade posting dumb stuff, it corrects the stuff by posting counter stuff. Some random week 1 player who is the best on their block (aka Random Scrub #285), will come on the forums expressing their opinion even though they've: 1). Only played the game for a couple days. 2). Only played against a handful of people. 3). Only play online. 4). Never actually played anyone good. (A combination of a few, or you can just pick one). Because of this they're posts are 'stupid' and naive. They don't see that what they're saying is completely wrong. Do we hold it against them for being obliviously stupid, or do we ban them? I hate to bring this up again, but ZhePrime (or w/e their name is) was a good example when Zidane was trying to explain why Hazama is a good character. He might not be top3 for some people, but that's a completely different argument. He didn't understand that Hazama had really good normals, mix-up, space control and movement. Even though one of the best BB players in the US was giving him straight, true, thought out answers, he still wouldn't grind it into his thick skull. So what do you do? Ban someone because their 'opinion' differs even though their spouting non-sense? Mods need to man up and not be scared to ban (or at least WARN) people that don't listen to reason. Get rid of the gray area and stop being lenient. BB general is the place for random crap. Keep the Gameplay and Character forums clean.

I've seen him even accept it and move on. And then I see him post something even stupider like 40 minutes later. I came back on these forums what, 2 months ago? Blade was already a running joke. And it's not like he's a running joke around the people I know; I understand that the mod forum has a blade quotes thread to snicker and laugh. So he's pretty much a joke all around dustloop. Dustloop: Mob For Hire. I like the sound of that. So yes, blade does have the right to post anything he wants as long as he's not telling someone to die or violating any other asinine rules. And by that sane token, I have the same right to call him a damned fool for talking out of his ass about gameplay mechanics he SHOULD have no right to talk about.

Skye Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 The wall in that logic is the discretion between correct/wrong information (like Tager's 5a 7f/Tager's 5a 6f), and varying opinions, debates based on player experience and how one's scene operates, Japanese play, etc, etc. I agree with Wirya in the regard that banning would be going a bit too far, unless it's the general case of factual information being argued with conviction with info that's been proven wrong, but other than that, I agree with Circuitous' sentiments.
