Current tentative venue is Devry University in Fremont. Updating front page with relevant info now. Also, equipment bringers, please sign on the spreadsheet for this month, as the DeVry club crew have a couple of setups to provide as well. Thanks everyone for your patience. Is this the same DeVry we used waaaaaaaaaay back at the very first NCI back when John started all of this?

OrionXElite Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Assuming its the same room from way back then, we had about 40 people in the room at once, fit everyone somewhat comfortably. There was already an HD TV in the room that we were able to use too I believe.

It is actually at another building then the NCI's that I went to that were held a while ago at the other Devry building (Which is Taylor Hall). This room will be at the main Devry University building which is walking distance from the building where the old NCI's were held at. Also it is at least 2 times bigger if not more. So there should be plenty of room.

Assuming this falls together, I'll be Santa and bring some drinks so people don't die of thirst :3
Kijiyama Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 In response to all the stuff aboout devry. There is internet there, we've streamed there a few times, the room size is fairly large. Quite larger than the CS clubroom (IE about both rooms put together from last NCI). So the room your getting is going to be about that size if not larger. We we're glad to have it there the last few times we had the event there and iirc was the venue before SJSU picked up for monthly.

Top 4 Melty Matches Then Guilty Top 4 Matches Then BlazBlue Top 4/8 Matches Then Sadlife/Random Game Focus/Unlimited-EX Single Elim Tournament (Extra Time/Ahead Schedule) Take the earliest you want to record something according to that schedule and subtract that from how long it takes you to set up your equipment. If you want to record/stream more stuff, then get there earlier?
Chun Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Everything's been hit confirmed, Batman please ask if we can get a direct connection rather than a wireless stream, as it provides more consistent results. The event is to set-up starting around 12:30PM or 1PM. My primary concerns are coordinating the equipment and getting the stream/recording to work seamlessly before March. Particularly, magz, Rin, Coopa, Tsubasa, and Spirit Juice, I don't know anything about running the equipment so I'm counting on you guys to coordinate and prepare somewhat before Saturday. I anticipate 3 equipment switches: PS2 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS3 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS2 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS3 Tourney Matches We have some difficulties working it out every time, so January and February are meant to be practice runs, I'm not going to be worried if we run into a couple snafus now if they save us later. Otherwise, that's it folks. Register on the front page your equipment, and I'll see you all Saturday. Now I can actually rest, hahaha.
