Hey funkyP I was wondering if you could tell me how you record all the fighting games on to your computer and stuff. Is there certain products or programs you use or something?

Oh yea, a bunch of different hardware with A LOT of different programs.

Here's a quick rundown of what i use to record, all of which is necessary for what i do

Hardware:

Intel Q2Quad PC with 4gbs of ram(this is a minimum, any less will not give good results)

Avermedia HD DVR

Amplified HDMI splitter + 3x hdmi cables

2 XLR input multichannel mixer

2 dynamic mics

a ton of various audio cables

Software:

Wirecast

Virtual Audio Cable

Photoshop CS4

Premiere Pro CS4

Handbrake

VH Multicam Studio

VirtualDub

SCFH DSF

Just for recording raw matches all you need is a beefy quad core PC (if you want HD), capture card, powered splitters and converters, vhmulticam and virtualdub are minimums for recording software, virtual audio cable is very useful for capping game audio but may not be necessary.

I saw something on YouTube that was call HD PVR it records in hd. Heard about it?

Also how much did or does all that cost?

so a whole bunch on hardware, most of the software you wont need. Virtual Audio Cable is $10, virtualdub and vhmulticam studio is free.

Heroes of Newerth is awesome. Way harder to play than Lol.

I really like what they're doing with that Chris, I'll be willing to participate with out. You guys wanna try to get this done at a future friday gathering?

edit: My idea is we could record it at one of the friday nights to demonstrate that we actually have an active offline scene. People I wanna see get interviewed would most likely be Chris, Geoffry, and Elliot. If those guys are being interviewed I'd like to be the interviewer.

double edit: Actually if you guys are willing to show up at a Revival we could get some of Cola involved too, I would like for them to be apart of the south atlantic scene.
