ebzero89 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 That actually might not work. At GT (at least in the Conference center for sure) you'd need to have the Ps3 MAC passed because the browser sometimes doesn't like to play nicely with radius authentication.

Since I'm gonna be heavily involved in the DL community games for FR this year I figured I might as well reach out to you guys first. We need to figure out who can make it and who will be sharing a room at the Hotel. Remember this will be taking place at the Hilton right at Hartsfield, so it would be best advised to actually stay the venue, plus we need to support Larry and Final Round by getting a room. It would be beneficial to have as many ppl in one room as we can to save costs. The discounted rooms will be $89 per night until Feb 14th, so we have to get this finalized before then.

I've got some errands to run in your area tomorrow so let me know if I can bring my stick by. Start button is being triggered /all the time/ for no reason. Was playing SF with Rizzo yesterday and we couldn't finish a round without it pausing. Also: I could be down for staying at the hotel for FR. Depends on how many people we can get in the room. If it's just the two of us I can't really afford it. I wanna have as many people to split the cost as possible. I'll bring my sleeping bag if I have to.

Same thing happened to Andrew V at SEB and was fixed in like a second. Also me and some guys from SRK are making plans for FR, I'm unsure how much extra room they have, and we're trying to avoid cramming everyone in the ATL into a single room again.

I have some class-related stuff to do that will go until 7-8ish, then doing something else after that. I might be in really late, but I don't think it will be likely. And actually Paul, I might be interested in staying at the hotel. I could probably get enough monies from my birthday. If it's potentially under 50, I'll consider it. I just kind of have to be careful as I'm going to enter 3 tournaments and have to save money for food. How many nights are you planning on staying, and do you know if they have free breakfast? I'd be missing out on going to whoever's place we're going to this year, but last year we just crashed as soon as we got back, then went to the venue first thing in the morning, so I don't think I'll miss too much craziness there. FunkyP Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 We'll be there for two nights, last year our room split $30 each person for both nights, considering that everyone from out of town is staying in the hotel there are a lot of after parties and late gaming going on. There's also the convenience of showering and sleeping late. I vaguely remember free something in the morning last year, but this is a new venue they may or may not be more accommodating. If we're having a DL room we need more of you guys absolutely sure that you're gonna be able to stay, otherwise I've potentially got another room lined up for me.

Also, we should check on the breakfast thing. Not needing to spend money to get food in the morning would be a really big plus. However, it's at the Hilton, and from my experience with hotels, in general, the fancier the hotel is, the less free stuff you get (like breakfast and wifi). Ok, I flipped around on the Hilton site. They've actual restaurants in the hotel, and I bet they like their revenue from those, so no go on the free breakfast. The breakfast buffet is 15$ for the regular one and 13$ for continental, so it'd probably be better to go somewhere else or I might bring a box of poptarts. Also, for laughs, check out the menu for the Italian place with a required "business" dress at the hotel.
