SolxBaiken Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Not directly V related, but the original Soul Calibur for iOS.
Delrian Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Not directly V related, but the original Soul Calibur for iOS. no, no Soba. This is the "New Soul Calibur" thread. You gotta go make an "Old Soul Calibur" thread for that. :P
Vulcan422 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 This port already seems better than the XBLA release. The character voices are pitched correctly, and I'm betting they have all the crap that got cut from the XBLA release for whatever dumb reasons (Mission Mode, Intro Creator, etc.)
Senzait Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Check this out guys: http://www.everyeye.it/ps3/articoli/soul-calibur-v_hands-on_15857?pagina=2 Comments on new Netcode, Replay features and a Devil Jin style on an actually playable character (Or so it seems from the wording)
Starlight777 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Hey guys you should watch this before Namco removes it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2wtJ2DgoEw
Blade Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Honestly it doesn't matter what males or females show up to me in a cast like SCV's...so long as I can make my own characters based on those styles, I can be happy. :D

Also I'm calling it now the other Phyrra will probably have Talim or Zas moveset.
SolxBaiken Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 A looks at more 2P costumes and a "new-ish" trailer
PSOInvictus Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Turning out worse than I even thought possible.
Starlight777 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Turning out worse than I even thought possible. You mean the part about Patsuka being in the game? I know whatever alternate version Phyrra has stole someone else's moveset as well.
Xtra_Zero Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Hey guys you should watch this before Namco removes it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2wtJ2DgoEw It's gone already :|
Starlight777 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 It's gone already :| Those Namcops work fast! Hopefully there's another link of the Patsuka vid out there.
Postulio Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Q: Tell us about the online ranking system. A: There are 25 ranks from E5 ~ A1. This helps separate players into groups where they can play against opponents of a similar skill level. Once you get better you’ll be put up against better opponents. FINALLY....fighting games are starting to do this im getting more and more hype for this game
Kayahtic Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Wow that's news. Now I cant wait to play online.
SolxBaiken Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 There's a rumor that SCV will have a code (button sequence) that unlocks all characters at the start, presumably for ease of use at tournaments.
Linear04 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 if youre going to have unlock codes whats the point of keeping characters locked in the firstplace....
Mightfo Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 i am excited :3 if youre going to have unlock codes whats the point of keeping characters locked in the firstplace.... "casual players"(shitty, vague term but whatever) enjoy unlocking characters. i personally remember enjoying that when i was young
Jackie Chandler Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 if youre going to have unlock codes whats the point of keeping characters locked in the firstplace.... It's nice having it as an option, ESPECIALLY over "Unlock DLC." Like SolxBaiken said, it's probably for tournament organization.
Xechs Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) "casual players"(shitty, vague term but whatever) enjoy unlocking characters. i personally remember enjoying that when i was young oh dear, this is just too good to not make a sig =p I like what I see http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/8947/img1659w.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/5860/img1658pk.jpg Edited January 18, 2012 by Xechs

PSOInvictus Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 YEah I am hoping it is fake too, though it is odd that the game is gold yet zero leaks about the last few characters. Unless someone knows how to keep secrets. Also the videos looked....weird at some points.
Blade Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) Q: Tell us about the online ranking system. A: There are 25 ranks from E5 ~ A1. This helps separate players into groups where they can play against opponents of a similar skill level. Once you get better you’ll be put up against better opponents. FINALLY....fighting games are starting to do this im getting more and more hype for this game This would be great, but that still doesn't stop turnover players from being labeled "beginners" despite having skill from previous games, nor does it exactly prove all that consistent a method of boosting rank. IMO, you shouldn't "rank up" from Beginner to Amateur (or in this case E5 to E4) until you can consistently beat at least 10 E4 players or more... Nor does it guarantee an A1 player won't end up fighting an E5 player...often that stupid Capcom matching system never works...nor did it work in BlazBlue. If you can't find an opponent of your rank, you shouldn't be forced to fight lower or higher ranks just to keep the search engine running smoothly. It should say "rank not found" or something unless you specify to ignore rank, and if Player 1 chooses ignore Rank, Player 2 who chose to play according to Rank shouldn't be forced to fight him. Players who Ignore Rank should only be matched with other players who Ignore Rank. Edited January 18, 2012 by Blade
