Kenji-Koto Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 No problem. I feel like after Walmart (3D>etc etc) the Volante carry to the comer (blah blah>jc>volante>repickup) is going to be common. No problem with that considering all of the good it does.
Mascarpone Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 so far i've only seen j.b loop picked up form Knock downs into 3D, i kinda wonder if it can be picked up from ground loop into a reset -> 5B 6B j.B j.2C blah blah, like the current jump loops can be picked up. I realize it's kinda less interesting but i kinda dont mind it too much when compared to the character specific lists we have now. Since i can't really do the Ragna j.2C allecan loops.
BoogE-Man Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I've seen some Carls try it from a ground loop. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't seen enough Carls try it to explain why it will/won't work though. KD > 3D is the most reliable way so far.
Akira-Shiro Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 yea it would..... W-O-C-N Bla>Bla>3c>Cantata>J.c(Jump cancel)>delay 3D>J.c the delay is so if they stay on the ground 3D gives a auto reset, if they roll asap then it causes a auto-UB. the only option they got is emergency tech & then they a forced to block unless they got a Dp. If they do have a Dp just fall & block Nirvana will still swing & then u restart your pressure... 100% Oki at its finest CS2 carl would be god with this. Someone should see if J.c is jump cancellable
Mascarpone Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 might also be useful to be able to jump cancel from j.C in ground pressure for cross ups.
Akira-Shiro Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) might also be useful to be able to jump cancel from j.C in ground pressure for cross ups. For all that u should u J.b its faster & has good reach Edited February 15, 2011 by Akira-Shiro
Zeero Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws4o_zkor78#t=22m02s
Akira-Shiro Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 HEY!!!!!!!!! That vid, J.c can be jump cancelled. & he does the setup i was talking about. 5:45 J.2C>J.C>delay 3D(jump cancel)>J.c>burst bait
JG Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 o____o And we are broken tier again? Nah, i dont think that. If you check the previus match that was vsTsubaky she get away for the UB with the DP... That loop is insanily good but it still can be breaked with DP moves. So you have to be carefull and be able to bait that kind of stuff..
Zoogstin Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) No thats whats so good about the setup. It's DP safe!!! Its better than the 6B 2D setup just for that. The opponent has to burn meter if they want to make it safe. The only reversal that I can think of that would beat that is Tager's 720. But yeah that won't make carl broken. He was fortunate enough to hit the litchi with Nirvana having so much meter available. Edited February 19, 2011 by Zoogstin
Akiro Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 One whole UB reset for that combo takes like 80% of Nirvanas health =\. The only saving grace is the 100 meter gain.
Akira-Shiro Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Has there been a release date for CS2 O.o
Zoogstin Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 One whole UB reset for that combo takes like 80% of Nirvanas health =\. The only saving grace is the 100 meter gain. Not quite. Nirvana did a couple of moves and got hit so she didn't start off with 100%.
Akira-Shiro Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 she dies at the same speed on on offence, its just moves do more dmg to her soo its not like we cant do much
Mascarpone Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) I'd say it probably takes 55-65%, and it resets... 2? 3? times into combo > Super finishers? even if we cant use it to full-life them like it does in this particular instance we can probably get off at least 1 reset -> combo and if it's mid match probably a super finisher so it's ... what... 2ish-k reset 4k? still pretty damn vicious. Edit: Started at ~60% left her with nothing, used 1 Fuoco and 1 6D in block string, 2D to start the combo, Resets twice, so each reset that way uses i want to say roughly 20% of your meter, Each reset -> combo -> loop reset does 2.8k so roughly 3k damage, Air combo into fermata = 3.7k. So 1 KD Combo (what i call an air combo with j.c into 3d) ->Reset -> Air combo -> fermata = 6.5k for 20-30% nirvana meter (keeping a range because i really cant say whats exact, i'm just eyeballing it.) Ladies and gentlemen that's pretty damn Skippy. Edited February 28, 2011 by Mascarpone
Akira-Shiro Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yep Yep CARL FOR THE MUTHA FUCKIN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^-^ also in cs1 i do C-O-N bla>bla>Viv-a>Fuaco hits (reset)>SJ.66>J.c>(5b>2b>3c>j.2c>blah) this wont work so (CS2=5b>6b>cantabile>5c)>SJ.b>j.2c>J.c>3D>5c>3c>GearDD I assume a 4k reset combo... >.> sexy, we get more dmg
Niko Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) Have a look at this video. Around the 10:00 mark Carl does 2A 5A on a Litchi blocking low and both attacks connect! Does this mean that his 5A no longer whiffs on crouching Litchi? EDIT: Nevermind. After some testing it seems like it works the same way in CS1. I didn't know the whiffing only occurs when Litchi is not blocking. Could somebody elaborate on the mechanics of that? Edited March 5, 2011 by Niko
Zoogstin Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Here crouching hit stun animation allows her to be hit by 5A.
Akira-Shiro Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I heard the Jp version of BBCS2 is coming the 31st this month..... ?.? anyone else got any info
Lastblade Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Been playing cs2 for a little over a week and all I gotta say is he feels a lot better than cs. My only complaint though is that the difficulty of his new loops are pretty low. [J.2c>j.b]x5, ub., is really easy to land and execute. 5b>6b(3d)>j.a>j.c ub setup opens up a lot of extra damage. 5c feels like a strong poke, expecially if you land a CH.5.c, you can go directly into almost any combo. J.a and 6a have alot better priority too, 6a can actually antiair pretty safely. Anyway, thats my opinions.
Akira-Shiro Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 HYPE TIME!!!!!!! carl AA can beat out tagers elbow drop now. An its good his UB's is wat made him stong & the setups were annoying to setup. J.b>J.2c is to gdlk
