The 22C guard crush reset on Carl was a thing of beauty. What makes me even more excited is that I can see room for improvement too! (I noticed at least a couple of air throws in the corner that he chose to charge after instead of going into a combo, which I thought was a strange decision, and probably would've won him that last Lambda match.) So... wow. This is indeed very competitive!

Dunno why he thought it would be a good idea to j.D around that point though... could have been a misinput lol. Also he probably would have won if he didn't use 236C towards Lambda at the end haha. Also, Tsubaki seems to get ~4k off pretty much any 2 charge combo which is nice. Still haven't seen Install yet and her max damage potential seems lower until I do. Her combos all look super sick, can't wait to use those on people.

Or can you actually have a combo that contains a throw somewhere in the middle? It seems like it should count as a reset since the throw would have to be purple, but I don't really know. Either way though, just because a combo blue-beats doesn't mean continuing it is a bad idea.

I've seen many continue their combos after a blue beat anyway because hey if it all can connect, why not? Though I believe if a combo blue beats, you can tech out of it faster than if it wasn't. Not sure on that though. I still think he wanted to get charges in (for whatever reason) but since I'm not the player I can't really say, it's all just conjecture. EDIT: Just remembered, I believe one of Tsubaki's loketest changes was that she couldn't really combo off of a throw/air-throw anymore. I can't remember if that stuck or not so that could be another reason if it's true. EDIT2: Just kidding, watched the Tsubaki from NSB do a combo off an air-throw to 6C. It wasn't a purple throw though. Then did at least three purple air throws and never continued after it, he always charged after doing those as well. I still don't know though haha. It's kinda hard to tell what works and what doesn't considering we can't play it ourselves to test and find out. xD Edited January 20, 2011 by pktazn

In that situation it makes sense to just charge. I believe the original change to her throw, which stuck was that you needed 236d to combo after midscreen ground throw.

It could be PROJECTILE invulnerability, which would explain why it goes right through Spike Chaser. But yeah, 214D desperately needed something to make it worth a charge.
