FerrellJ Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Was those EVO matches recorded it? Numakie has been restreaming the HQ captures over the past few nights. Here's the AP archive: http://www.twitch.tv/numakie/b/547967927
ehuangsan Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Lark was on fire @ EVO. He showed that the Japanese are not really as far ahead of us as we had thought they were, especially in his games against KOG at the kumite and at the tourney. MVP for sure. Now if only he didn't own himself by betting on player at the baccarat tables....
Luis Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 They are also all on youtube. Really? Can you give me a link? That twitch video player sucks.
ehuangsan Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 just search for aquapazza and sort by upload date. They were only uploaded a day ago.
Luis Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 You guys don't know that you can do a super in between Manaka's 2B spam? The only one that can't do that is Riannon. Chizuru needs to DP.
Crimefighter Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 A lot of the supers are reactable, you can usually backdash but I kind of obviously watch buttons a lot so Ill catch it
ehuangsan Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Manaka could stop after 2Bx2 and then watch you super and punish accordingly. Though yeah you can just backdash after the second 2B.
ehuangsan Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 FYI this is Mabushin's tier list for AP: Tamaki > Karulau > Touka > Konomi > Chizuru > don't really matter > Manaka His reaction to hearing that Chizuru was banned in EC: ・・・(・д・;)
Kyosuke Kagami Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Wow, Morgan is super fun to use in this game. I still stick with mah Sasara, though
Luis Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Have you ever noticed the reporter on the far right in the Convention Center looks like the one from Arcana Heart?
Luis Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I noticed it months ago, I was saying it for the new players. I'm in Homing Cancel too so I know Examu made both Arcana Heart and Aquapazza.
ehuangsan Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Yeah, there has been a nice surge of new people as of late. It has been fairly easy for me to get a match online nowadays. I've been messing around with Karulau/Rina, Hakuwolo/Ma-Ryan and Hakuwolo/Camyu as of late to be accomodating to new people as I have never used those teams before, but I have come to find that those teams are incredibly stupid to use online and just run over even good people.
Luis Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I never knew Heart and Saki was in that stage. I had to look hard in that picture to figure out what's that pink and blue thing is. I know so many combos with Hakuwolo/Camyu now. Camyu can combo off of his counters if you quickly press the assist button after you do the DP motion. Sometimes it's hard to remember that. What good people, Mojirice?
Daverost Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 ...I have never noticed Heart and Saki there. Holy crap.
Tigre Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Don't forget the guy with the cardboard Yodagawa cosplay on that stage

I tried a lot of ZeroBlood0's setups, thinking that they were hard when in fact they were stupidly easy to do, and lvl 3 may as well be an X-factor as the combos and setups are so simple to land off of innocent things. I consider people like Caged and airconki to be good level. Mojirice is way beyond that. He is one of maybe only five people that I play online to whom I would almost auto lose if I didn't play my main, and even then pretty much beat me at a greater than a 10-1 ratio.
Luis Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I played against Cagednightmare many times before. He could really use your help with learning how to use Chizuru. I tried to help him before but he didn't think it would make a differents. I don't know who airconki is. Jun Solar uses Oboro and Hakuoro as his secondary and needs with both. I was helping him with his Hakuoro until it starting lagging and made things harder. It's also hard to train someone by sending inbox messages with that 99 second timer on every match.
purify Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 New players? How did that happen, lol. Well, the game has been on sale recently... Somewhat off topic, but in case you guys haven't tried it yet, I really suggest everyone that likes this game to give Shin Koihime Musou a shot. The art/character design is terrible imo, but the way the game plays is pretty much exactly Samurai Spirits with assists...which I feel is partly what AP was trying to be also. Some notable differences being: Fatal Counter system No emotion system One four-segment super bar with EXs Characters get choice of two assists depending on their kingdom, with the exception of the Lu Bu-ish character that only has one. No guard cancel, no guard break. It's slower, heavier on spacing, buttons tend to be very negative...and combos are super easy, even the fatals. There's a thread for this game on DL, and here's a video of the new arcade version:https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=mw8rZTqvYGY#t=10 Anyway, I really like it...and the game seems to have a future ;p ...less of a scene, though.
Luis Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 If this game ever gets an update, (I doubt it) please make Hakuoro's Witsuarunemitea splash art easier to do. I still to this day from USA release, can't do it often. Sure there's people that can do it easily but that doesn't change the fact that this is it's like the hardest input in the game. I looked through everyone else's splash art and they all seem easy. For some reason I can only do Touka's on the left side. I have never done Morgan's before because I don't understand what the command is trying to say. I can't even do her super for some reason and that input is not even hard. It's Bison's psycho crusher move.
