stunedge Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 >>CaliPower cool and thanks for your clarification. though now we have an approximation for the release date in US, but when do you think the title is going to be finalized? since this involves lots issues including ticketing, getting passport ready and etc, so it would be great if the regulation is finalized early btw, i hav tons work so can't really participate this one but some players over here are definitely interested in that money
TL_Staff Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Also there are some HUGE announcements coming up for everybody! The most exciting news yet! TL will update us in the next few weeks! Get hype!

The official change from CS1 to CS2 for Revelations? Or official release date of CS2?
huey253 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 honestly, i don't think less than a month is good enough for a switch, evo would allow over 2 months so i'm more cool with that. Mid May could even imply that we get it May 20 ish with the tourney on June 10.

huey253 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) ^^ Bang main yeah i play bang but less than a month edit: if its the difference between jp competition coming or not, please make it cs2 Edited April 15, 2011 by huey253
Nini Heart Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 @SG: ^^ Litchi main The way I see it, it will be harder for some characters to adjust, but seeing a CS2 tourney will be more interesting as it will show the players who have adapted quickly and will be the first CS2 major(which is something). 20 days isn't "much", but it's not like it's a brand new game and we haven't already seen a lot of stuff from jp videos. If it IS CS2 though, and jp players are coming, we can safely say it's free money for them lol.
shtkn Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 i can only speak for myself, but i'd prefer it to be cs2 as well
stunedge Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Hello stunedge, What do you mean by: "when do you think the title is going to be finalized?" The official change from CS1 to CS2 for Revelations? Or official release date of CS2? I meant the official change from CS1 to CS2 for revelation.
iw2ma Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 lol i'd prefer we keep it CS1 specifically for jap players and make them revert back to their old selves. THEN WE HAVE CHANCE
huey253 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 it doesn't seem like we actually will have a choice if aksys wants cs2. it'll be much harder for US to beat the JP in cs2.
Yuushiro Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 positive thinkin bro.... Japanese people are also human being. I got this you got this we got this we know what it is. now you know it. and I think winnin isn't everything...., especially for my case
Zidane Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Shit, this tourney is gonna be CS2? Guess Dacid isn't even placing top 8. You can't even be BestloserBro.

Hey, you had a chance to play CS2, so you kind of have a head start vs all of us, lol ;p But yeah, as much as a "short notice" it is, it feels like CS2 would be the best thing to host for this event (well, IMO). As mention before, Japan would be at a huge head start, but in the end I don't mind. Plus, with CS2 there, it will help for advertisement vs the way they are advertising now (really fuckin' poorly from what it looks like so far). Also, look at Evo for SF4. Look at how much time they have to prepare for AE. However, at least with AE, people outside of Japan have access to play it at selected Arcades ;(
a Lisianthus Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 lol i'd prefer we keep it CS1 specifically for jap players and make them revert back to their old selves. THEN WE HAVE CHANCE i think you just want to play shitty cs1 bang

Edited April 17, 2011 by huey253
Nakkiel Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Should absolutely not be CS2, there just isn't enough time to feasibly prepare.
St1ckBuG Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 The level of play will be much higher if you keep it CS1... and less than a month to train up for a $5k pot? Terrible idea. You want to keep this tournament serious: keep it CS1. If you want it to be jokes and free money for the Japanese then make it CS2. Not to mention you're going to have a qualifier for an event that will be a different version at the tournament? What a waste...
Yuushiro Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I don't mind either way... and I think even with CS1. If Japan comes they might have greater chance to win this IMO.
AmishOpiate Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 i dont even think 1 month is enough time tbh What would be the biggest obstacles that would have to be overcome with only 1 month to train? I know that's a petty general question, and it probably differs from character to character, but I'm curious.
RinHara5aki Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 I'll contact TL, and see what the JP players themselves think.
TGS Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I prefer CS2. Time to move on IMO. CS1 is already stale, and a month to practice for CS2 is actually enough time because in the end, it's still Blazblue.
