Hello everyone! This is John with Tournament Legacy, first and foremost, I would like to thank you all for the support and patience as we've been transitioning. I'm new to the forum because I usually work behind the scenes focused on getting the community sponsors and funding for events such as Wednesday Night Fights, SoCal Regionals, and now ReveLAtions! However I feel that its time to start answering your questions regarding BB:CS. So first off the publishers would really like to see BB:CS2 as the choice for ReveLAtions. Taking that into consideration we then looked at the forums were it seems to be split rather evenly. The publishers have taken a lot of time themselves, reading your thoughts on this forum and they made the decision to go with BB:CS2 as the main title. However, the rug cannot be swept from under what's likely to be the last BB:CS major and as such we will be hosting a BB:CS tournament on Saturday the 11th. There will be stream presence for the top 8 of BB:CS, which will be held same day, and the pot will be player built. We hope that this accommodates the community as much as possible, the situation is unfortunate and we are trying to give the best of both worlds here. :)

Thanks again to all of my friends for the encouragement and support. You guys makes this possible :)

Now that BB:CS2 is the official headliner of Aksys Games $5K tournament, we got some more hype for AH3/BB players!

Offcast will be streaming Friday/Saturday pool play of AH3,BBCS1,and BBCS2!!

Now the community can watch all the high level pool play up til the finals!

BB:CS2 finals will still be streamed by Level|Up as planned! Get Hype!!

Thanks for the response to the community's concerns, John. However, I just need to clarify:

BBCS2: Main tournament, $5k pot

BBCS: Side tournament hosted Saturday the 11th

Correct?

Would just like to clarify this so I can update the thread title.

Amazing! I'm looking forward the day. Now, I'll be there for sure.

And Valle, I have one question.

Which monitors are you guys using this time?

There was some confusion with that on SCR.

My charactor is extremely lag sensitive and I'm not really good at adjusting it in short time.

So I'd like to keep my practice up with the same setting as the tourney will be run.

by this, I'll have no excuse for myself as well. haha

Again, thank you so much for the decision.

I'll try my best to bring some hype into the tourney!

Should be ACER/ASUS. No more LG monitors.

Thanks for your support!

Yeah, it works :3

I think everyone knows that this is the biggest BBCS pot already, NOW the hype is in CS2, and AH3 :3

I love to contradict my own arguments! When in doubt lie it out and pretend like I said nothing at all. Worse case scenario, I can pretend I was trolling! Yea, that's it! HERP DERP

How cute...

Regardless, it's interesting to know that CS2 will be the official game here at this event and CS1 will be set as a side event. No idea how that was decided, it seems more random than anything else. "LET'S DO CS2 TOURNAMENT GUYS, NO NEED FOR FEED BACK, LAWL!!" is what I'm seeing here. However, I'm glad to see that CS2 was the version selected after all. My only worry is the amount of time to practice, seeing as how there still is no exact date for it, other than people saying "IT'S ON MAY, GUYZ!".

As stated before, CS2 hosted at this tournament is nice for advertisement reasons. However, if this is the only way the company is gonna advertise, I'm a bit concerned for the scene in terms of growth. Something like CS2 should be a big thing, shouldn't it? It just feels like a silent update...

Whatever the case is, see you guys there.

do people really care about cs1 enough to hold a tournament for it over cs2? my impression is that most of ya'll niggas are looking for any excuse not to play that game, which is why i'm confused as to why there's a debate over this at all.

so what if people don't know how to play cs2- people still don't know how to play cs1!

As stated in our previous post, the decision was made largely by the publishers/developers who read every single post of every single persons feedback to aid in their decision. I of course cannot speak for them but we have taken all of your thoughts into account on every issue that has arisen and your continued feedback has helped us more than you know. :yaaay: Feel free to contact us vial email or phone any time if you wish to discuss anything further in a more private matter. We are happy to discus anything of concern.

So is there a link to the hotel registration? The one on the revelation site links to hotel registration for socal regionals.

On the Revelations site under the Info tab their is a Hotel option. If you click that it takes you to an embedded Double Tree Hotel page that says Tournament Legacy Revelations, followed by info about the rooms deals and dates. Yes it is the same hotel we used for SoCal, and we are using it again. :)

UPDATE: We found the source of the confusion: Initially the lodging link on the Revelations FAQ page led to the SCR hotel booking site but the issue has been resolved and both links are functioning now ;)

Anything else I can help you with?

Since the CS tourney will be played on PS3, are we required to bring our own stick? I only own a 360 non-dual modded stick but still want to enter, sorry if this has already been addressed.
