kojibeoulve Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Well statistically speaking yuzuriha players don't win a lot, in fact I've only ever seen like 2 yuzuriha players win consistently while the rest have ranged from passable to terrible. I'd still trust the arcade machine compiled tier list more, humans are biased and numbers don't lie.
kojibeoulve Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Well it's not perfect since certain characters are overplayed and others are underplayed, and im doing this entirely from memory so mid tiers are bound to be out of order, but the current list from top to bottom is Gordeau, waldstein, vatista, merkava Hilda, linne, carmine, eltnum, Hyde, orie, yuzuriha Seth, chaos, akatsuki
caiooa Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 What's the mecha tier list say? http://sp.uniapm.info/diagram_view.php the list is dinamic, as it collect data from every play. In the bottom, you can select a character to see his matchups. gordeau 75.5;  walldenstein 73.8;   merkava 69.3;   batista 68.9; linne:     67.7;  carmine        67.5;  hilda      67.3;    sion     65.6; orie       65.5;  hyde             64.2;  yuzuhira 60.1;   akatsuki 58.5; seth       58.1; chaos           48;  I'd still trust the arcade machine compiled tier list more, humans are biased and numbers don't lie. I think the data captured by the aime card have good advantages because -it collect information from all the arcades, from all the matches. Don't matter if it's upload to nico douga only or youtube only or not upload anywhere. Shinjuku batle arena have a weekly tourney, but they don't upload it anywhere. Same for miracle dome. A lot of misconseption come from people seeing videos from only one place, when this place is dominated by a small number of players. Then people start thinking like the characters those players uses are the better of the game. For example...a-cho (kyoto), dominated by 3 players (merkava-sensei, SAT's carmine, Boogie's Hilda).  -it gives numerical diference bettwen the characters, in any matchup (just select the character at the bottom of the site). Like, people say a character is "B tier" and other is "C tier". Where lies the difference bettwen them? It may be 0.5 in the diagram.  -it let anyone make their own interpretation. It's just data, that can be interpeted by different people in different ways. For example, i think that akatsuki isn't above chaos and seth. I think the majority of akatsuki players were veterans to fgs (coming from akatsuki blitzkampf), so obviously they average level would be bigger. Chaos, seth and yuzuhira in the other hand, have appealing visuals. This may appeal to begginers, who wouldn't be able to use the character to it fullest.
Skyheartxia Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Isn't Linne older than most characters in this universe? oh i meant Yuzu and Hyde are apparently childhood friends
Skyheartxia Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 snip how heavily would an akatsuki player having 2000~ more games than others and having a 91% win rate affect that ranking? i'd imagine a lot
TrueStyle Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 lookie heree http://www.siliconera.com/2014/05/01/night-birth-exe-late-online-lobbies-least-one-new-character/
TAI-X Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The apparent lack of a challenge/trial mode is pretty damning for such a combo-focused game.
caiooa Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 except it's not intended to be combo focused (especialy after ex-late update). The developers said with all the words "we maked it a punishment game, as opposed to a combo game like melty"
NegroNInja Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I like how Juicebox emphasises that KoF13 does not have any grapplers. They are just characters with command grab specials. Â I'd like to think of Waldstein the same way. WHAT THE-
Tong Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Not sure if old, but I found color lists for all characters: http://www57.atwiki.jp/uni_colors/pages/4.html
Surf Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Sourenga has had all the palettes up on the wiki though. I guess this may have been his source  On the topic of palettes these are seriously some of the best I've seen in a fighter for a long time. And i dig how each one has a cool name to it,Â
Kurushii Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Anyone who has a aime card and has played the game at least once can get the colors themselves, or just ask someone in Japan to let you use their account (what I do).
Abelcru Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 You need to remember that UNIB was supposed to be a VN at first and Hyde was the main character, why do you think there's no parents in Hydes house lol
heavymetalmixer Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 You need to remember that UNIB was supposed to be a VN at first and Hyde was the main character, why do you think there's no parents in Hydes house lol  Harem confirmed
redsilversnake Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 You need to remember that UNIB was supposed to be a VN at first and Hyde was the main character, why do you think there's no parents in Hydes house lol Is there an official source for this?
Sourenga Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Skyheartxia asked me to translate this entry of Fusemaster blog, so I'll post it here:    Game has been operating for a year, and I'll now tell some details for both veterans and newcomers.  Crossups don't exist in UNI. Usually, you call a move that hits the opponent's back while you jump over them, but hardcore fighting gamers know what a true crossup is. It's okay to call Waldstein's JC a crossup move since he jumps over the opponent while hitting their back. But, there's a lot people that think that you first need to have a full grasp of the game's system.  When you jump over the opponent, hey turn to the other way. On that moment, the way you need to hold the stick to guard, also changes. You aim for this moment to break the opponent's guard. SFII didn't have overheads and this was the only way to break someone's guard.  But in UNI's case, the direction you need to hold the stick doesn't change when you cross over the opponent. After you land, then the direction changes. That's why you can't "confuse the way to hold for block". If the opponent stands before you, by holding the stick to the opposite way, you can guard all the aerial moves.  UNI players don't understand the difference between "mekuri" and "hyouri" and end up taking hits you could easily just block.  If the opponent's moves come from before you, the direction you need to hold the stick doesn't change. Merkava's JC can simply be blocked. I mean, it even isn't a crossup.  This game doesn't have "crossups", with the exception of few specials moves, the only way to break the guard is "hyouri". If the opponent is on the left, hold 6, if they are on the right hold 4. You can guard all the moves.  Linne for example, can you do forward roll and hit the opponent from back, that's a "hyouri". Meaning, those characters that have moves that pass through the opponent, have a certain advantage in this game which doesn't have "crossups"  Seth is a perfect example of a character who breaks guard with "hyouri". This character is called weak because of his health... which leads to certain expectations. He has pretty much high risk no matter what he does against a opponent who doesn't think too much. Seth needs to touch the opponent 3 times to take half of their health, but the opponent needs to touch him just once to take half of his health.  Seth isn't that strong in defense, he could keep blocking all the day. He's a character for really advanced player who know all about his horrible "Risk & Return" values. It's rather difficult to have an easy win with Seth. He isn't exactly a character that only Umehara could play, but... If the players could read at least 10 steps ahead the opponent, the common opinion of that character could change.
Skyheartxia Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 snip thank you! i just needed clarification i was getting the key messages right for myself, but its good to get it out there so people knowÂ
Abelcru Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 No im not joking I remember that was in an interview a while ago. I dont remember where tho
Stellarcircle5 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 So wait, is Seth actually that weak? I'm just curious because I'm used to my vortex characters being uhh, good. :/ Along with what Sourenga detailed, is it just a case of him not having pokes with bonkers range on them like the majority of the cast? I've seen videos of Seth absolutely destroying just about every character in the game, so I have a hard time believing that he's at least below mid tier. Is he still considered viable? Or is he just Akatsuki?

Fuse just felt he is very weak at the time. (this is kind of an old post, Â but not too old, but i wanted to get the whole crossup thing cleared up and sourenga was nice enough to go through it for me cause i got confused)
