Youtube? dl'ed it on the ps3 lulz completely useless for practice since my TV has like .5 seconds of input lag, so I just go through story mode and all that jazz. Can't find the DLC pkg too, so I can't try the DLC characters either! gonna have to request it.

If you're too lazy to go online and do it, just come to the meetup and give him the money while you're there. CS2 looks like it'll come out sometime mid-may, source is legit but not 100% sure it's CS2. (although with stuff like "Challenge mode updated to CS2 standard. Previous competitions transfer over." I can't see why it isn't) Anyways, now that the date is announced, I will give my opinion. Tell me if I'm mistaken, but the PSN store updates on Tuesdays, right? So here's the deal. If the patch comes out more than a week before the tournament, it's run on CS2. If it comes out the Tuesday before the tournament, people will QQ no matter the decision. Just an idea, but I say we pick the worst possible answer, 2 tournaments, one after the other (in order lol) and people can chose to participate in either or both whatever they prefer. We'll still have a GG tournament, no worries.

Sophisticat Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Imo, whether or not we use CS2 will depend on how long it takes to adapt. I don't think 1w is enough. Some characters like Haku have some pretty big changes to their playstyle/combos so they'll take time to re-learn. I suggest we wait until CS2 actually comes out, play with it, then see how confident everyone is with their character before deciding anything.

Sometimes I try to do CS2 combos in my matches just because I've seen them. Brice Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 HQ is open. my thought on this. hum, the video for mat8 says it's CS2 (the logo) :P i say one week is hard, but everybody gets a huge change in characters balance and combos and shit... even tager. considering we have CS2 (being 1day or 1week before MAT8) doing a CS2 tourney would mean MTL would be the first to make a major for CS2 (that's not nothing) or we do maybe the last major for CS1... in any case, don't forget the hype has died down in quite a handful of places for CS1 , if not everywhere, and everybody are enraged to play CS2, so maybe we could have more people coming to play the first REAL major for CS2 (even if CS2 comes out the day MAT8 is being held) just because it's CS2, we'll have the most HYPE in the world (except japan) everybody will watch the stream since we have the first CS2 tourney, more recognition for MTL blablabla more people..... profit!!! my vote goes to, if we have CS2, let's do it CS2 (or a tourney for both it's the same to me) also we should start announcing MAT8 everywhere cranky asked me if we had big names for MAT8 to put on the trailer or some shit.... if vice-taicho says he comes to MAT8, we can put up nemesis2 BB champion vice taicho for starters, if he wants of course.

Now that it's announced, I say our stance is : "We'll have both the LAST CS1 tournament AND the FIRST CS2 tournament." well, if people want to. I don't think everyone will watch the stream though, people will probably be playing the game.

Putting the CS2 logo was a bad idea. EDIT: Don't get carried away again. Either CS1 or CS2, otherwise it'll just turn into one gigantic flop. Why would I watch a ct and cs tournament, I only want to watch the latest build of that given game. Why would I watch the old one?

Let's have a CT then CS1 then CS2 tournament. Blazblue Patches, the trilogy. More seriously though, I dunno. I think we should aim for the highest attendance and pleasing the most people. This is kind of big, and I wouldn't want some people to just not come and support the scene because they prefer version X. @Sphyra : yes please do! I might be later than planned though. We forgot to do some documentation.
