Finally put in some time in BB after 3 weeks and I think I'll be switching to Valk. He doesn't seem to need the kind of switch with which I'm having trouble with Haku.

Aww, blade is all alone now. There's still my pink haku, so it's gonna be AWRIGHT.

Hello guys, I'm kinda new both on dustloop and to the possibility of having an offline experience with people. I was hoping to be able to find more info on when these meetups happen and if there was only sticks to play with or if controllers were also available. Sorry if this isn't exactly the right place to post this.

thursday and sunday are the usual days, bring your own stick/controller is suggested. will probably change when the hq closes.

As Kr3w has said, you're better off bringing your own controller since the SF people often take the ones at the HQ with them for events. There are mostly 360s over here, all PS3s are brought by people of the BB community itself. You can also bring your own setup since we often run out of them. There are English and French speaking people over here, so whatever suits you better, we're all cool. Hopefully you'll join us!

Nice to have more new people

Pretty much what kr3wman said. Check my first post in this thread, if you have any further questions either P.M me, or post it here in this thread:)

Pretty much what krewman said. We mostly play on PS3. PM me or post in this thread if you have any extra questions.

It's good to see some new blood.

Hopefully BLADE doesn't scare you off like he did to the last newcomer. Fuckin' blade.

Thank you all for the nice (warm?) welcome.

Seeing as I live an hour and a half away from montreal, I most certainly will not come very often but I do intend of giving it a shot in a few weeks if I get a thursday off. Also, Vice taicho told me to ask here about parking matters. I don't know Montreal at all (or almost) and thus I don't exactly want to venture myself into unknown territory too much. If anyone has any advice on this or would want to hook up before the event and get there in any way possible, I'd be grateful.

Okay so there was some pretty cool stuff in stickbug's room, there were like 20 people or so, played some guys from everywhere. We got bodied pretty hard in BB, by LK and this Hazama player. Apparently brice is good at GG, he was blowing people up and doing slashbacks and random stuff it was hype. Just got kicked out by security because we were making a lot of noise.

OMFGSAKLNGJKFV great idea, I'm in Trois-Rivières, actually. More or less 200 km from Montréal towards Québec city.

oooh hey new guy, kinda funny but vice-taicho lives in montreal nord iirc so if ever you come maybe you could pick him up on the way to the HQ. The road to the HQ is pretty straightforward, you only have to turn like 2-4 times once you get off highway 40. Parking around it is good on sundays, but bad on thursdays, but it's doable, Rhannmah does it when he comes but you have to walk a bit, I'll give you the specifics if you want. By the way the HQ is closing in a month but we're going to keep having meetups at Foonzo, which is a cafe downtown with TVs. According to steb, they now have like 6-7 CRT setups, so get hype.

:(

LK v.s MTL is still 7:3 in his favor. He needs to get nerfed in the next game.

I've never been so hype to play brice in a fighting game before. Stay hype Brice

until September.

Good shit I expect no less from the MTL community.

I'm off to bed.

K.B when are you getting back again. I haven't had irl trolling in a while:(

July 10. If I make it early(read before 11), i'll drop all my luggage at my crib and get to HQ ASAP. I should be good because of the time difference and shit and living close to HQ. I just hope I won't be tired as fuck and jetlagged and end up lookinig hella free lol.

Pedro, was that hazama player Zidane O_O? Y'all be meeting the BB legends, i'm jello

BTW, where are we gonna play when HQ shutsdown?

Lol, nice to hear the MTL repping. Maybe we'll get those guys to come here for a tourney someday.

Jerk.

I DRINK YOUR TEARS I DRINK THEM ALL UP

(Haku will always be in my heart, though. Might switch back to him in a couple months or once BB3 comes out or something. CS2 version... eh. Something just doesn't click)

BTW, where are we gonna play when HQ shutsdown?

Probably Foonzo?

Anyway, you've got time for the HQ. The last day's meet is something like the 14-15th. Every day counts if you're looking to get in some play time there, though.

To answer Nini's question.

Glad to hear you guys had fun at ECT. I'm looking forward to playing again, gotta visit the HQ at least one more time before it closes.

@Soph : :( well, Valk is pretty cool too. Train hard and make hime-sama proud!

Why are you moving when you get back btw. Why aren't you going back where you stayed before? Good to hear though

I think they would know if it was Zidane or not.

The 15th.

Lol Eb, Nini said WHERE, stay free. Then again, it should be obvious that Foonzo's our place of choice, such ignorance dear skinny black Tunisian.

Oops. We'll meet at Foonzo, and probably do more house meetups. When my parents travel during the year and I have the house to myself I'll inform you guys.

Ken, K.B is Ivorian, not Tunisian. he's just staying there for the summer, stay free:)

I was in rez before. Can Foonzo accomodate like HQ did? Are they open on Sundays? How late can we stay?

Posted

Can't really say much about opening and closing times. But they have more set ups according to Steb I think. He's the only whose been going there regularly.

So as for as people go, we should be fine. But we'll have to see about how long we can stay and how early we can come. A bright side about it is that we can have more spontaneous meets, like after classes and stuff since it's close to concordia and etc.

Get moderately hype:)

Posted

Yeah, not really for me. I can't lug around my console when I'm going to class lol. If we could plug our controllers on the cabinets, life would be so much easier.
