pochp Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 accepted! also, I just remembered the sofa in the hallway, 5 spots, lol.
LiveWireX Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 So, I'm kinda curious on what you guys think of UNIEL? I was thinking of checking it out, but at $60 instead of $30 and with zero experience with anything related to it, I don't know what to make of it. And if you guys are gonna be heading out to the quasi-last minute event tomorrow at the Gonq, then awesome. If not, then no worries and there's always next time.
pochp Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 There are talks of a new HQ with MTLSF, they wanted to know if we were interested. It would be located near Cote Vertu metro, and the amount of space is the same as the HQ. It would cost somewhere between 25$ and 50$ a month per person, depending on how many are interested. They wanted an approximation of how many of us would be interested, by next week. So... who is interested? I don't know exactly what's going on with Foonzo besides that we lost our privilege on Thursday night. They were closed for renovations this week, so I'm not sure what those imply for us, but we were planning on maybe going Sunday (so come by if you want to try UNIB). @Livewire : it's fun, the characters don't seem too complicated yet, but there are a lot of mechanics and they are quite complicated to use well. atm I still completely forget to use most of them (shield, veil off, anything related to grd use)
Bibiquadium Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 It could be a good idea, our meetups just wont be as big if the size is the same as the old HQ and also depends on which days/hours will it be open
D4rkWolF11 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 We'll have to see what Foonzo looks like I guess but yeah depends on a lot of things I personally don't mind buying something every so often on Thursdays I did it anyway but that's just me... I still like Foonzo but how does that monthly thing work at the new place
pochp Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 It could be a good idea, our meetups just wont be as big if the size is the same as the old HQ and also depends on which days/hours will it be openI felt like we had much more room at the HQ (since there weren't a bunch of other customers), assuming groups have different meetup nights or something. We'll have to see what Foonzo looks like I guess but yeah depends on a lot of things I personally don't mind buying something every so often on Thursdays I did it anyway but that's just me... I still like Foonzo but how does that monthly thing work at the new placeYeah, but then it kind of sucks if you just want to play and you're not hungry nor feeling like drinking. A soft drink every few hours doesn't count. If it's like the HQ, it would be like a membership thing, where you pay a certain amount for unlim access during a certain period of time. Maybe they'll also have a pay at the door thing, at the HQ it was 5$ for a day, or a certain amount I can't remember for 6 months. Maybe Brice, Sophisticat, or Kazuhiro remember?
ReynTime180 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Maybe. 50$ is a bit steep for me, but I do always go to foonzo at least once a month and spend at least 20$ every time. Also being near cote vertue would be great for me and dark wolf, we wouldn't have to travel as far, meaning we would be there faster and could stay longer
kirbster Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I'm definitely interested, but Côte-Vertu is soooo fucking far for me
Scrubtrash Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 A NEW CHALLENGER APPEARS So i met ReynTime and D4rkWolf on some stream and i found out to my surprise that they were MTL too and Reyn told me i should introduce myself on here,so here i am. I've been meaning to play locally for a while so i went to Lan ETS earlier this year and i really enjoyed the tournament experience(too bad at the time i hadn't played SSFIV for a long while,at least i was alright at Smash lol),so now i think it's about time i jump in so i can finally get some real local fighting game playing! (cheesy as hell wow) Also,i'm all for that idea of a new ''HQ'' mostly because i'm not legal yet and so i can't go to Foonzo(and i'm sure i'm not the only one...right?)so having a place where everyone can go to would be great.
iBeK3n Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I'm definitely interested, but Côte-Vertu is soooo fucking far for me So Foonzo's status is in limbo right now? That's pretty messed up. I was planning on randomly showing my mug as soon as Eb came back to Montreal (or more specifically Southshore). The idea of a new HQ definitely is appealing. But Côte-Vertu's a bitch to do from where I am, ugh. Mais bon Kirb habite encore plus loin que moi. Also, is Play-Asia always so late on their shipping time? UNiEL was only shipped now and I'm receiving the game on the 30th with the FedEx Eco 3-5 days shipping option. I was expecting the game on the 29th at most (if it took 5 days instead of 3). Anybody's received the game yet?

Much farther from my place, but I suppose it being potentially cheaper would be the counterbalance. For it, if it brings in more people.
LeDom Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Greenline is less convenient for me since, unlike Bonaventure, it requires me to take the metro. Though if it makes things easier for the majority I've got no objection.
Kazuhiro Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Cote Vertu is the orange line, though. Its the end of the orange line. Are people going to Foonzo tomorrow BTW? I want to play UNIEL!
ReynTime180 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Welcome scrub, this is where we discuss meet ups n shit. Right now, as you can see, we're discussing changing location. This is the best place to keep yourself informed on what's going on with the MTL BB/GG scene (and a bit of gundam an Skullgirls, but those are pretty small right now)
D4rkWolF11 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Welcome scrubtrash! Cote Vertu is the orange line, though. Its the end of the orange line. Are people going to Foonzo tomorrow BTW? I want to play UNIEL! Pedro said he is bringing his console so yes there will be
pochp Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 A NEW CHALLENGER APPEARSWelcome! HQ plans aren't so sure atm, but besides foonzo we also have meetups at people's places sometimes. Make an acc on http://www.sankishin.com/board/index.php and join the chat to come talk with us, always nice to have new people join.
AirMaster Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 We all do. You're just never around. Anyway, anything going on monday? Haven't played UNIEL against you guys yet and I need to fix that.
