He changed too much to get used to in so short a time. That said, I'm actually contemplating dropping BB. I just don't have the kind of time needed to relearn a character all over again anymore. Or I might just use someone simple like Ragna or something. Or I might just be demoralized from my performance and I'm exaggerating. We'll see.

mAc Chaos Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I still try to improve. His changes aren't that hard. Just some new combos and links. It's not critical to use them all anyway, though it doesn't hurt. Corner combos are easy. Only things that give me trouble are midscreen Hotaru IAD combos and airdashing in general from using my stick.

Stupid stuff happened, but it was a fun day in the end. @Blade Just keep the stick around with you, and put something on it that makes everyone know it's yours. Another person who had a plain TE stick had his stolen too. @kr3w Lol, I can't imagine how "casual" the game will be. I would still buy it, but the main problem would be wasting money on the Wii-U.

Expect me to open between 5-6 I guess. I'll confirm on Thursday. New smash bros: maybe if we aren't hype for it this time it might actually be good. unless things don't work like that and you'll end up being able to play your Mii in it or some BS like that. like steb though, still gonna buy most likely. @Air: ps2 stick, bringit! plz! @Nini: yeah something like that. You can also MM people if they're up for it, could make your trip cheaper... or not. @Nolan: I think you need to (re?)watch TTGL! Or just talk to kaeru, it has the same effect.

I seriously think that they've come to a technological limit where improving graphics won't do such a significant difference. The difference between 8 bit and 16 was big, 16 and 32 was big, 32 and 64 was enormous 64 to 128 was MASSIVE, and 128 to now was big, but nowhere near the levels of the past. I think companies like Square which push consoles to their max aren't even managing to push the current consoles to their max. What's the point of a new gen console if we're just gonna have the same graphics or something only slightly better. Nintendo probably found that out which is why they decided to release the WII U. Obviously they would know that if they released a system of this gen and their competitors released a next gen system with vastly improved graphics, they would be screwed. Knowing that their competitors can't do that(for now at least) the wii u release makes sense. Will be getting one if it's a decent price @Pedro: T'a pu upload sur megaupload?

Hahaha. Games still have a long way to go. They're using a lot of simplifications/approximations/etc. but you can't really notice it because your movement is somewhat controlled, so they can hide stuff you'll never notice. Battlefield 3's engine with destructible buildings, and therefore game physics, as well as textures, applied to even more elements you can play with, should give you an idea of the progress there still is to be done. If you want an clear example of a simplification, google "bump mapping".
