Nini Heart Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Funny that Kirbster didn't even see the dhc glitch lol
kirbster Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 lol I saw you kill someone with it though, that shit makes no sense
Brice Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 awesome meet as always kirbster way too much salt and hype when we play each other. it doesn't make common sense anymore... why do I have so much pure raw fun when I play you it's completely I'd like to play all you guys like tonight every single day of my life cuz this is why I play games getting this euphoric fun with people as retard as I am XD ( ok I'm way more retard than everybody and I don't wanna offend someone so don't take it personnal :P) god need more standing 720's in here :3 making kirbster jump out of his chair like the end of the world has come when I 720 him like a bau5 is fucking priceless :D stay gdlk kirbster
pochp Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Oh shit brice actually showed up after I left at 9 (I had some things I had to do). Meetup was fun and lulz, somehow I'm slightly less free in marvel, and had a blast in GG (even though I only managed to get the dolphin loop going once )
Nini Heart Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Brice you should play Marvel. I swear when you stop taking it too seriously, it becomes EASILY the most fun game out there.
Brice Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 >playing competetive games >not taking them seriously nope can't do that sorry, I couldn't live like that call me back when it won't be bs with mix ups by a single press of a button and ridiculous dark characters, might try it again... also I don't wanna play good characters I want to play characters I like which just goes completely in the opposite direction with the mvc philosophy
Bibiquadium Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 also I don't wanna play good characters I want to play characters I like which just goes completely in the opposite direction with the mvc philosophy 720
Nini Heart Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It's sad that people hate on MvC so much that they cannot see the positives of the game. I swear it's the most hated game by people who don't play it. Oh well. BTW, playing Tager and playing BB seriously is an oxymoron lol.
Bibiquadium Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I can't deny the fact that I prefered MvC2 over MvC3 in every possible ways.
Black Onslaught Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 mvc3 was a bad game, everyone loves mvc2 for it's hype ( it's mostly people who like to watch and not tug dick )
Nini Heart Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Same way GG vets prefer it over BB in every possible way. Same way SF2 players prefer it over SF4 in every possible way. Being different and not as good from the predecessor doesn't automatically make you a bad game. But that's not the point. Too much unfounded mvc3 hate from what I see. Well, people can hate on whatever they want I guess. I've just never understood hatin on a game you've only played and understood on a basic level. MvC3 has it's problems but i'll be damned if someone tells me it's not fun(which is kinda the point of video games), but I digress. Carry on with the ordinary trolling.
Dai_Loli Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I actually bought and trained at MvC3 for a couple of weeks and never got into it. Coupled with all the BS I saw people doing online, I just lost all interest. Also doesn't help that I don't give two shits about, oh, half the cast (Marvel side)? Like it's been said, however, if I could take fighters at a casual level and "just have fun", I can totally get why this game would be a blast, except I can't do that D: Also Kr3w needs to stop saying things I don't understand all the time. :|
Bibiquadium Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 He's trying to say that we've been invaded by Michigan
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 also I don't wanna play good characters I want to play characters I like which just goes completely in the opposite direction with the mvc philosophy Not really, I run the avengers still. No one said you had to enter a tournament in the game. I enjoy playing mvc3, everyone has games they love and games they hate. But bashing on another game doesn't help the FG community as a whole grow. It only increases divisions because you alienate people. And by so doing they are less willing to try out the games you love because you hate on the games they love. Not every FG you play has to be played competitevly either, it could be simply for fun. Like it or not but casually, mvc3 has probably the most hype. It has the prettiest flashing colors and the most iconic cast. I mean, like I told K.B, all my friends forgot what blazblue is once mvc3 came out. Though I body them all in the game for the most part. Bottom line, stop hating on games. I don't shit on sf4 everyday lol, I don't like it, but bashing on it won't make people more willing to play GG/BB. You should all learn to do the same.
Bibiquadium Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 tldr: We can't love every games, but hating won't solve anything.
Brice Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 iirc I didn't said the game was bad only said it had bullshit in it. also I do like watching high level of play of any competitive game... mvc3 is indeed fun but when you against someone with over 9000 levels above your skill level (lol nini steb etc...) well having fun is kinda hard :P also that I chose not to play, but if people wanna play it I won't stop them cuz that's stupid... ( although I like trolling by saying the game is dead( which is not that false :P until November of course)) same for ae god it's ridiculous, but evo finals were mad hype and I know that all fg's can be played casually but I can't do it. when I play games it's srs bsns.
pochp Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 All FGs are horrible and definitely not fun because you always have to abuse some form of BS if you want to win. That is, until you learn to
kirbster Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I find that having good fundamentals doesn't really help you in Marvel. You just gotta adapt to this completely different dynamic, and I don't like it. Plus, it's the most broken game I've ever tried to play (except for T4 Jin, har har..... actually scratch that, MvC3 is even more broken lol).
Dacidbro Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I find that having good fundamentals doesn't really help you in Marvel. That is Ridiculous Look at the players who consistently place in Marvel
kirbster Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Not saying there's no skill involved. Regular footsies, anti-airing, frame knowledge and all that can't be applied the same way here because of assists. Obviously the people who consistently place high are good at fighting games, but the way the game works still forces you to... well, deal with it.
Dacidbro Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Does that remove fundamentals? No, not at all. The most fundamentally strong players consistently win, what does that say about the game except the exact opposite from what you said?
kirbster Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Ok, you got me there. Let me rephrase. The good players do consistently win, but look at Noah. Now, I'm not gonna hate on an 8 year old kid, but did he have good fundamentals honestly? The way the game works makes it so you have a shot at winning even if you're a lesser player. Hell, even I manage to steal wins with a stupid x-factor runback, but it's not like I outplayed my opponent. That can be seen as a good or bad thing really, since it lowers the level of entry... but it's definitely not for me.
Bibiquadium Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Just about any game has its flaws, this conversation could just never end. I personally am not a fan of the game, but I respect its players and I enjoy watching people playing it, and won't bash the game for its flaws, it has its good sides too. It's a personal choice. Everyone has their own perspective of a game.
kaeru Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I think maybe what Kirby means is, good reaction time, good execution and good lab work can get you far in MvsC3, just like the other games those top players are from. However you rarely have to deal with the craziness in MvsC3 in those other games, the assists and x-factor are just examples. Personally i agree that reaction time, execution and creative combo building fundamentals are going to make someone excel in any game.
