As I posted over at sankishin: "I am fucking pissed at what I'm reading. The tv's get taken away but the xbox "arcade cabinets" stay there when they are essentially the same? What the fuck. Every time I go to Foonzo I spend roughly 10$. What the fuck more do they want out of me? GODDAMN."

Bad move on their part not notifying us about it, but there is the chance it could be an honest mistake. If not, well, time to cut a deal or find somewhere else to play. That would be sad since Foonzo's a chill place and its location is just perfect.

Sophisticat Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I don't believe they're being honest either, but making a move like that is plain stupid business -- and I trust they aren't dumb or else they wouldn't have opened Foonzo in the first place. So best idea is just to get straight to the point imo, and discuss what's going on. Fact is, we're going in circles here because we don't know what they're doing and we're just speculating on what's going on. That's a vicious cycle if I ever saw one. I'm not going downtown tomorrow and don't have time to either, but I'm willing to make the trip and discuss it with the owners with you guys since I think that's what we should do if we want to keep this community's skills sharp and thriving. Unless someone has a better idea atm?

Having to put in 50 cents to a dollar every single matches just gets motherfucking expensive quickly, nobody right in their mind will keep going there for their meetups. So from my understanding, they've BOUGHT arcade cabs? Because what I've last seen was their actual 'arcade cabinets' being altered to be able to put in the games you want. Since a few of you don't have facebook, I'll just copy paste the picture & text. Foonzo [Picture here] just finished setting up a second arcade cabinet where you can play your own xbox 360 games and plug in your own controller :D (man what a pain) but well worth it for you guys. You will also notice we have put some old school console setups in the couch area where we will change the games every once in a while so that you don't get to good at the game :O. Lastly to fill up the void of where the big crt tvs use to be we will be bringing in some cool classics! will keep you all posted when that time comes around :D Edited September 29, 2011 by T.Kang
