worldjem7 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Can't believe even though it was a level 4 room, it was still bullshit. lol Damn Canadian Internet.
Calm101 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I really don't see what's wrong with netplay...I seem to do just fine. You guys should stop using netplay as an excuse when you lose online and just adapt, or avoid it altogether if you're gonna complain.
kr3wman Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 AFAIK Blazblue est réputé pour avoir un excellent système online D: excellent = least worst.
Bibiquadium Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Let's just keep it to this; I had better days.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Omg brice calme toi. Netplay c pas si pire. Lol! ... I really don't see what's wrong with netplay...I seem to do just fine. You guys should stop using netplay as an excuse when you lose online and just adapt, or avoid it altogether if you're gonna complain. *Reads both posts by players who use netplay regularly* *realizes their characters don't really have to block, and instead force their opponent to block* lol Tager and Hakumen (though more so hakumen) are probably THE worst characters online. Their overall gameplan suffers the most. They're all about blocking and reacting. But with the internets everything is plus on block so you can't punish have the things you would offline, and if you can punish it chances are you'll do it too slow. Offline, I never get hit by gauntlet hades/death spike, but online there are several occassions where a reactionary 6d doesn't come out when I see them. Your characters benefit from online since characters have to block your mixup, which is even harder since overheads on the internets are "unblockables". Can't believe even though it was a level 4 room, it was still bullshit. lol Damn Canadian Internet. Actually when I play friends like Steb, it's actually not bad at all, but maybe because xbl>psn in terms of netplay quality (it's only natural since we pay for xbl, while psn is free). excellent = lesser of evils. Fixed. Overall, netplay has its benefits, you learn and experience different play styles. I've considerably levelled up by exposing myself to fighting even more of the BB cast than I had offline. But I still rather offline than online since I can react properly to things I see/hear, block overheads, and break purple grabs. but at the same time netplay has a double standard, you get salty as fuck when you lose to things that you KNOW you would never lose to online. It's already bad enough losing, but losing to someone who has less skill than you because they simply abuse the lag and take advantage of it, that's a piss off. But at the same time, you can't help but feel yourself even more when you win most of the time despite the lag, because you're playing with a massive handicap, meaning you need to be that much more skilled to win. So when you do win you feel all that much better about yourself, since you had to adapt to both your opponent and their playstyle coupled with the power of the internets.
Bibiquadium Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 The amount of typos was too high for me to correct them all.
pochp Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) I dunno I find netplay exposes you to different people, it's more about reading your opponent since it can be hard to react, and it's just more BB. I don't really care when I win or lose, and if some connection is too bad or someone is just abusing crap you can just play someone else. Some of my recent "could have been frustrating but idgaf cause it's netplay" experiences include go 2a 2b hitconfirm into 5b 5c combo, but get 720'd between the 5b and 5c... wakeup in the corner with OS throw tech, get green thrown anyways, no TRM... opponent whiffs air move, dash in punish with 2a, eat 5b counterhit... It's also a nice place to learn a sub, once you get combos and mixup down. I would have netplayed yesterday but instead I started reading medaka box, so entertaining lol.... Sophisticat Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Netplay is good stuff, haters. L2Netplay. For the record, but mostly because I don't want someone to be forgotten, it's mostly me and kaeru planning it so far, with lots of help from air, bibi, and brice. And that's why we love you! <3 Yeah, I'm just a cheerleader here, except my pom-poms are made of drills, and I sport a kilt. :D KEEP IT UP WITH BURNING TAMASHII; YOUR NAMES WILL BE FOREVER ENGRAVED IN HISTORY! ----- But if there's something any of us can do, just mention it. I'll see what I can do.
unsanctifier Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 medaka box is quality stuff blade, netplay just spam j.c 4c zoning with hakumen, wins everything (even offline!)
kaeru Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Last night was worse then usual. And Netplay for an offline player should be played to learn matchups, not to earn victories. With that said, i will be at Foonzo tonight to have the latter. >:3
pochp Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I don't think I'll be there tonight, have some stuff I need to do.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 blade, netplay just spam j.c 4c zoning with hakumen, wins everything (even offline!) Omar, as usual with the pro-strats. Last night was worse then usual. And Netplay for an offline player should be played to learn matchups, not to earn victories. You play to win, when you play to experience matchups, you're aim is to win. If you play and have a idgaf-mentality then you're not really learning the matchup and as such why are you playing online then? But when you play to win you get salty when you lose. You get even saltier when you lose due to lag. It's an obnoxious cycle, but oh well...
pochp Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 You get even saltier when you lose due to lag. that's the problem with your equation. This is where you're supposed to go "idgaf if I lost cause it was laggy anyways".
kirbster Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Well I think it depends on your personality. I myself realized a long time ago that I'm just not the kind of person suited for netplay. I'm aware of and I agree with its benefits, especially learning matchups you're not familiar with and testing out strats. But one thing's for sure : it's not the same game when you have to take into account the technical limitations... and I don't wanna play something that's like BB, I wanna play BB.
