Dragon's Crown too good. Except the way they handled online. Too bad.

Nice turnout yesterday, shoutouts to lamp in your face.

It was fun until Heartless got tired of not winning all the time and switched to Tager ; )

Fucking rain... Ok, so I'm ok right now, but I crashed the bike this morning while going to work.

I was braking right before a stop, but because of the rain my front wheel locked and I instantly lowsided. Was going about 40km/h when it happened. I rolled over about once and watched as my bike grinded to a stop (:cry::cry:) a couple meters further. Was transported to the hospital shortly after that. Xrays were done, etc. Went to pick up the bike afterwards.

So I've got a sprained ankle and right wrist atm. Didn't have more because I'm religious about wearing gear! The bike runs ok, though it's going to need a thorough inspection. Metal was grinded. My signal lights are shot. The engine guard left a bit of a mark in the side case, and my engine has a small knocking sound, I think.

Still, it's all good, lol. Was really cool in retrospect, though I wouldn't try that again.

Being alive is what's important here! I once crashed spectacularly on just a regular old bike and my head hit the curb at a perfect 90 degree angle BUT I was wearing a helmet so my head was perfectly fine. I've kept my ruined clothing from that day as a reminder of what could've happened.

Glad nothing (that isn't replaceable) is broken. :)

Thought you'd never ask.

I'll be playing with two friends tomorrow evening, you could join to make it a 4 player thing.

We're not very far in, though, I'm the highest level at like 25. Not even sure what online play is like... Is it "play through multiple dungeons in a row until you can't go on and quit" and then rinse and repeat?

Derq spittin dat knowledge for a few pages. I see a potential "sensei" in him.

Also glad to see you're ok Nolan, seems like your bike was weak against water attacks, maybe you might wanna switch to grass type for next time.

Alive and well, all good

First you want to win, then you want to improve, then you want to know more about the model of learning, then you want to understand biology to hone your understanding of the capacity of your own body when playing fighting games. The next stage probably implies doing research on acquiring an etheral form to strip the human limitations away. That or you become the perfect being from Jojo, minus the part where you blast off to space or something

I'm almost there, I'll keep everyone updated

Thanks, guys. :)

That's not cool! Gear is so important. That shit saves lives! Good to know you came out of it ok, too. :P

I only have a few minor scratches on my stuff, but I'll be keeping the reminder as well.

Yeah was that a motorcycle? You are lucky, usually that ends with a lot worse.

Yep.

And yes, much, much worse. I don't want to know what the same crash would do at 100km/h. Or more. :)

Freeeeedom I finished my summer assignment. Next week vacation time.

Our Dragon's Crown scene isnt high lvl enough yet tho.

I'll order the game once I get home today, I'll probably get it next week. No rush since this weekend is the long awaited Xillia that has been waiting on my desk ;-;

And I'm happy that you're okay Sophis!

Wait, you don't have the game yet? Then we're screwed for tonight; you need to clear all the game's levels once to unlock Online MP, which takes a couple hours.

Hopeless masquerade (Touhou fighter) is so fun, got around to fiddling with it since there's a tournament at otakuthon on saturday. Game's weird

Did you get my invite Bibi? I guess you didn't find a PS3 copy.

I just cleared the game on normal whilst playing online with a friend for the first time.

Now correct any of these if they are wrong because that would be sweet, but:

- Coming back to it: Having to clear the dungeons once before you can go online. If you made it this far by yourself, you prolly weren't interested in the MP aspect of this anyway. Otherwise, you played it with offline friends until that point. So what happens when your character can go online? You don't want to use it, because you reached that level playing with local friends and don't want to level it behind their backs, so you have to redo the whole game with another character in single player for the sole purpose of being able to play it online without getting ahead of your offline friends the next time you play.

- You can't invite friends.

- You can't voice chat or communicate with the other players in any way.

- As soon as you go online, you can no longer see which quests you have active and what you have to do to complete them.

- If you don't select the same path as the others, you're branched off from their room.

- If you die during the final boss fight, you're kicked out of the room.

- Your gear eventually breaks after ~3-4 dungeons, not to mention your limited use skills aren't replenished, so at some point, you're forced to disband the whole room and go offline to get it repaired, appraise items, buy potions, assign skills etc. and come back to re-host several minutes later, again wait for everyone to join back in, pay a fee to reach the next dungeon and then continue where you left off. (I know the bags exist for this, but I don't have enough good gear to fill more than 2 at the moment)

- Once you clear a dungeon and select to continue questing (you're given a measly 10 seconds to make that decision), you cannot choose which dungeon you want to do next, so if you had quests that weren't in the preset order of dungeons the game brings you to (which aren't even laid out from easiest to hardest), you have to disband the room and re-host again.

Were they actively trying to make the online portion of this game as annoyingly not user-friendly as possible?
