There is absolutely no way I'm ever going back to CS1. Next meetup is sunday guys, probably something like 3PM till midnight. Remind me to drop by costco on the way there to buy soft drinks and water. Shoutouts to team NAH for keeping the console/people ration reasonable, because we only had 2 xbox hdds. Shoutouts to steb and rhannmah for bringing their stuff, very appreciated. Shoutouts to brice for allowing us to have this meetup even though he couldn't attend. Shoutouts to the new guys, always great to have new guys. Shoutouts to everyone who came and had a great time, really. Shoutouts to kirbster for learning GG so fast, we didn't play each other though. lol haven't done shoutouts in such a long time... I think our GG scene is growing at a good rate and we have a good variety of characters, we'll stop being free eventually. Maybe not in time for MAT8, but at least not too bad. Oy, can anyone lend me SC4, I'd like to try it out at home while waiting for my xbox/cs2 on ps3, whichever comes first. I will gladly lend Arcana Heart 3 if someone wants to try it out or practice too.

By next yea Montreal should be a contender in GG, MAT8 this year I see T.O taking the top three spots. At least first and second going to them, and with Rhannmah as third.

You seem like you're on the brink of switching, perhaps in the next year. Do yourself a favor and learn GG on stick from now. But consider this; I'm not suggesting that you learn to play blazblue, marvel, streethfighter, soulcalibur and tekken with stick. Or any game that you already know how to play. We're getting into GuiltyGear now and it's relatively new, you have a clean slate and nothing to relearn or retrain. No left hands involved ! As for money.. Not all good sticks are expensive. I might have a much more cost efficient solution for you if you're interested. TEs are not the only stick available, i have an xbox arcade edition laying around that we can mod for you for cheap maybe. Anyway i leave it up to you.

(oh yeah, i'm on pad and using a laggy hdtv, hence the impossible at the beginning of my sentence...)

Noel is off the chart. And so is Hazama. Y'all better get ready for some top tier tier whoring action. But is it tier whoring if I switch from the best character to the 2nd or 3rd or 4th best character? Lol.

Lol. Yes, because those characters are still top tier. However, maybe my opinion will change with time, but this game seems way more balanced, so tier whoring is a lot less of an issue than say, for this imba game called CS1. I think I'm really going to hate the new Noel though, don't play her. @Kaeru : Do you have a Y screwdriver? It would be for my PS3 stick, I'd like to look inside to see what's up. @Brice : I forgot to tell you, tager's magnetism on 5D and j.D in game... it's bad, tager has become "less" fun. Is something broken in it? if it's anything like my friend's cheapo Hori that i modded once before, the buttons are probably soldered directly to the PCB. It might be why you get multiple inputs just for pushing certain buttons down all the way.

I might be there after work (around 6-ish) to play some marvel or whatever, since I don't have CS2 or anything better to do. @Kaeru : Yeah it's one of those cheap hori sticks, came with Tekken 6. The screws look like they require a screwdriver with an end that looks like a Y. After a bit of googling, I think the correct term would be tri-ace?

kaeru Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 If i had to guess i'd say it's a torx bit? but torx is 6 points not 3.. so i'm not sure. I tried googling tri-ace but got many different bits, all the regular ones. The stick i modded for my friend was the Hori EX2, i had to take it apart, get rid of the crappy buttons, put in Sanwas. The problem was, like i said, the buttons were directly soldered to the board. So i had to get soldering braid to clean it up and add wires and quick disconnects instead so he could reuse his sanwa buttons if he upgraded later. Is the stick you have the Hori EX2 ? i didnt have trouble opening it up so i must have that screw bit.
